Has anyone ever diy’d an Expansion for the SoS?

I have typically enjoyed running the delay out through a diy passive lpf (resistor and cap), to darken the sound a little, but have no room for such extravagance in my current case....

I was thinking to make a passive in line thing I can have dangling, or sort of a shorting bar...but then it occurred to me that maybe I could make a little backpack for the SoS and put that on the expansion header.

From the manual and expander header notes it looks like the insert is, however, a break jack, so this doesn’t seem like it would work.

Anyone given something similar a try? Thoughts?

Very keen to not damage SoS.

I can't see a way to do a backpack-only LPF, but there is a non-destructive way to do it with two pins and a blank 3.5mm plug:

For your LPF backpack, use DEL-FB (rev1.3) / INSJSW (rev2) as your source pin and FBIN (rev1.3) / INSP2 (rev2) as your load pin. Then stick a dummy 3.5mm plug in the Insert jack to break the signal chain (this also bypasses the Insert level pot).

Thanks for the advice!!

Had not considered losing the insert level pot either...thinking i’m gonna be putting the sexy backpack solution down for the minute and gluing some jacks together for a 0hp solution..

Working on the starve, and the SoS already has a black panel.
