What brand is this? Looks a lot nicer than the ones I've come across.

For an unplanned two hour job, this easel-like Moon stand worked perfectly at practice today. Delightful to bring the Moon racks to band practice! Needs a lick of paint.
Wow, really love the simplicity of this solution!

Okay, let’s get back to synth pics! I just added some modules to my QCF 22 case, so I thought that I would post an updated pic.

That is a "Walking Stick" Ribbon Controller from Psionic Soundworks. I am not sure if they are made anymore. The guy who made them used to be on Muff's (I am sorry , "Mods"), but I am not sure if he still is active.

Yeah, That is the simpler one that he originally produced for use with Moogerfooger pedals (it would actually draw power from the powered jacks), which is why it is only 0-3.3V.

He greatly improved the design on the one that I have so that it is 0-5v (or maybe 10V?) with a separate trigger button and tirgger and gate output as well.

I just should have added this link to the page on the forum where the newer Walking Stick was introduced:

Does the walking stick do the ~hold~ trick? The dot com one doesn't, but the doepfer one does.

These are finally done and en route today, no thanks to about a million design changes on my part - Jason is clearly a very patient man. Who also happens to do amazing work.

They're YuSynth Quadrature LFO PCB modded with regular and unipolar outputs to pair with quad VCA's.

that's a great addition. I have to use signal processors to make them work for vca panning.

Aye - this all started as an idea for a "polarizer" assistant module for my Krisp1 Octo - just 8 simple scaling/offset circuits.

But I've been a little concerned about the waveforms on the Octo, to my ear they still sound compressed even when the compression is dialed to zero. I've yet to get my hands on a scope, but the difference when compared to other LFO's triangle and sine waves is clearly audible.

So I thought I'd try the YuSynth PCB - we'll see if they go slow enough, which is one thing the Octo does very well. Or if there are output issues at very slow rates, seems like some folks have had issues with that. UPDATE - no output issues and with a fixed negative CV input they go very slow indeed.

One other thing I realized (which would have been a problem with the Octo as well) is that having a variable output level bogarts the unipolar conversion, you need a known p-p voltage to properly calculate the offset. Unless you design a variable offset to compensate for the reduced p-p level, and that seemed way too complicated - far easier just to bypass that control completely.

I don't know if that was the best way to handle it, but us bass players like simple... :hmm:
