I don't manage to read the attached datasheet of Tayda Alpha pots.
The lenngth from the center of the pot (shaft) to the pot legs low point is 13 mm. (green line)
What is the length from the center of the pot to the upper part of the pot? (red line)

Half of the pot diameter (16.5mm) on the left.

Yes, they are 17mm but beware that the plastic covers can increase this and are preferable to use. Especially outdoors! 
the red line is actually half of the 17, but the prior answers are correct because they're not including the PCB which extends slightly above the metal housing. this is the 0.5mm difference.
Measured one with plastic cover. 0.720" About 18,5mm
The distance from shaft center to the flats on the legs of PCB mount legs is functionally 1/2" 12,7mm. The 13mm in the drawing reflects the leg metal thickness since it's folded for that style lug.
When this type pot was more poplular years ago -before everyone went to parallel PCBs- I used to use 1/2" from the shaft center to nearest PCB face. And 0.725" was always enough room for the plastic covers.
