Suggesting that Joranalogue will just offer the same "ol' thing" in their area of expertise, after their proven record of pushing analog designs, seems like a shortsighted assumption to make.

Just in terms of precision, I'm very much looking forward to getting a BBD with no clock bleed.

yeah, stacking chips is common in pedal and rack delays, even the Blacet time machine used 2 stacked.
No, there's one MN3005 chip in the Time Machine.

@Joranalogue - Any word on when the Delay 1 will be released? I'm interested in the mono to stereo conversion, especially when paired with a mid/side processor. Thanks!

Like what? Seriously, I want to know. I have delay pedals that have digital imitations of BBD delays, but I didn't know there were actually any long delay analogue pedals.

I'm obviously not Joranalogue but in the video below they say "first quarter next year" (check at 14:30).

I asked on twitter and they said the video was filmed last year.

Must admit that comment also stuck in my mind!

Hopefully updates coming at Superbooth. I notice another possible new module teased via Instagram? Bit off topic.

For our French-speaking wigglers: at last week's SynthFest France, our in-house polyglot Boris took Les Sondiers on a ride through the world of BBD Eurorack synthesis, with the help of Delay 1!

I honestly dont know what it is with people and this obsession with long delay times on bbds. In my mind that is by far the most boring use for a delay, especially a bbd.

EDIT: one thing i would be really curious about: many physical modelling delays have an open feedback path. This does not. Why is that? And can i use the regular input when patching external feedback?

EDIT2: nice video, glad to get to use my highschool french now and then! It sounds really thick and has a lovely top end sparkle which i really dig! Would love to hear some bowed sounds too!

Man that is some good stuff! Some of that patch is immediate percussion sample pack material!

I really like how heavy it sounds while having a sort of sparkle to it. The fm sounds surprisingly good as well, which is very surprising to me.

I like it a lot yes. I was enthusiastic about how good it sounded with a simple sequence. Thought it might be useful because there are not much video's out there yet.
