Welcome to the forum! Cool jam-- cool to have 2 nice oscillators for the size and price and you can even sorta get some subtractive synth action going with CV of the shape crossfader...

Thank you! Indeed one of the most creative aspects of the oscillators is the crossfade between sine and saw/square, opens up a lot of possibilities. Especially with cross mod as wel

So do you reckon we're going to get a Euro 259 next year?

I've been trying to find some good demos of the original in anticipation but youtube seems a bit thin on them... anyone got good links?

Even more than I imagined hahaha. I just shot a video with it for my Youtube channel, like "here we're going to make music with this system" and it's just 29 minutes of absolute mayhem, but that sound SOOOO good.
Coming soon ;-)

Hey guys ! I love my TT/Buchla 258t, but these knobs !!!! no problem when it's to build a crazy blip / blop or FM crazy ****
but for a melodic use it's so easy to brush the Freq button and everything is dead, specially in a live situation
strange choice ... there's zero resistance ... it's the same on the OG 258 ?
maybe it's a Don's idea to avoid western melodies ??? :foul:

do you think there's a way to replace the knobs to have something that makes more contact with the panel and curb it a bit ?
The only solution I've found is to remove the knobs during my live sets when I use it as a 2 v/o voices
It was the same on my sold Telharmonic ... a pain to tune and you can turn the knob with a sneeze

Just ordered from Elevator. I don't know how many random sources in hardware and software I have used that were inspired by this module but the anticipation of getting my hands on the real deal is quite something!

Exactly this.
These Buchla/TTA modules came at the right time for me. I am only going to get these from now on as they get released.

Do you guys think there will be a huge difference between the 266t and the Sputnik Modular West Coast Random Source?

Here are a bunch of modules I´m currently exploring:

Had the same issue but I guess the pots make the modules more affordable.
The 8000 pots are much better

Hopefully. :)

I had a lot of issues with the Sputnik. The s&h dropped almost immediately, there was a pitched ‘whine’ in the noise outputs and there was something else that bugged me. It’s been a while though so I forget TBH.

Awesome; the 266 is what got me interested in the 200 series in the first place. Thanks to the manual, I finally know what those alt outputs are doing :)
