Mutable Instruments Stages
- Found a decent price locally and jumped. Not feeling it at all. Too fiddly. I'm currently forcing myself to try and use it for anything I can think of because I'm already feeling tempted to move on. Starting to find some uses for it, but it brings me so little joy to use :)

Schlappi Engineering Interstellar Radio
- I got a 100 Grit a little while back and was blown away by how it sounds and how fun and immediate it feels to play. I wanted an Angle Grinder bt this popped up at a price I liked. Incredibly fun. I love tuning in and tinkering with it to just drone. Amazing noise for metallic percussion.

Bastl Noise Square
- Slowly working on my silver and blue dream. I think these simple but weird modules are so cool. I also must be really into noise generators at the moment. This one is also fun and has a bunch of generators that I primarily wanted to make percussive sounds. Surprised the Square CV isn't v/oct but that's not really so important for my needs.

Loquelic is a desert-island module.
It sounds amazing, it was actually the first NE oscillator I considered 2 years ago, but went with BIA first. They all have their own character and exact sound I've been looking for since I started making tunes. Kind of why I fell in love with eurorack.
I'd love to hear said tunes!

Utility modules are the inexpensive, dull polish that makes the expensive, shiny modules actually shine!!!

sound sources < sound modifiers < modulation sources < utilities

an oscillator is an oscillator - utilities are possibilities

choose the case to fit the modules - not the modules to fit the case!!!

Conversely every time I tell myself I won’t buy another module I “miraculously” find one that has been eluding me.

Depending on when you started in Eurorack, that behaviour can keep going for many years to come...

Bought meself a Beads I spotted at Modularsquare as a christmas present, was completely surprised to still find new stock of it and being an idiot I sorta panic ordered it just before christmas and well yeah, it's still on it's way and might stay that way for a while, if it ever shows up not being buried under the festive avalanche of packages trying to find their destinations. WMD 4tten was included in the order, similarly thought that this would probably be one of the last chances for me to get it - we'll see how it turns out, fingers crossed!
The ones before this were similarly panic-induced orders. When WMD announced their shutting down I just had to get Kraken and Crucible for their uniqueness - afaik there's nothing like them around there.
Kraken - very very happy, although the decay parameter *could* have more of an effect and a much wider range.
Crucible - basically the same user experience I've been reading about, a great module and loving the mind boggling realism of it, but having some trouble laying it down on a mix elegantly. It seems it always needs some filtering to properly fit in. Similarly to Kraken the decay could be more useful & with a wider more dynamic range!

Now that I look at my merely three year old rack I must say that damn it's getting there. Ah the determination of pouring all of your extra money on something!

Just purchased:

- Modbap Per4mer
- 4 passive mults
- Klavis Caltrans
- Erica Sampledrum

Then felt spicy and decided to pick up:

- XAOC Mińsk
- XAOC Kamieniec
- XAOC Belgrad

Still deciding if I should pick up the Ataraxic from perfect circuit while it is still on sale.
