If you do not need amplification - it will work.
Otherwise, if amplification is needed – 2xSAM can be set with the jumpers as two channel stereo amping mixer.

Any EU store have this available?
My Intellijel mixup bleeds like a monkey and the pots are noisy sometimes.
I hope the 4x Steremo Mix has better quality :D

No bleed on mine. Works impeccably. Silent with knobs at full attenuation

This is a module I’ve been eyeing for a few months but it never seems to be in stock anywhere in the EU (my preferred seller is Schneidersladen) and since Brexit I avoid buying from the UK due to long shipping times and extra costs due to customs.

Any news on availability in continental Europe (EU)?

Just chiming in to say how much I’m enjoying this module. Finally heard some stereo effects last night from a unit I’ve been listening to in mono. Made me happy!

It looks like it's in stock at Escape From Noise.

I have my fingers crossed for a restock at Analogue Haven.

Fresh restock should arrive to AH in a couple of days.

May I ask if Schneidersladen will be getting some units any time soon?

How are people using headphones with this module? Is there a particular cord for this?

It is DC coupled mixer, so better not to connect headphones directly.

What if I connected it to the intellijel 1U Headphones module, and plugged headphones into that? Would that be a recommended solution?

Yes, do not see a reason why it may not work.

Anyone tried connecting these to the 1/4 jacks intellijel pallette case? Looks like a pair of 3 pin connectors on the 4x, and a 6 pin on the intellijel board (2x TRS sockets). Seems like it should be possible to use one TRS as stereo-in and the other as a stereo out?

Sounds as bad as an idea as plugging your headphones directly in tbh.

I’ve been trying to better understand AC and DC coupling after reading Igorrr’s answer, the point is a DC coupled module doesn’t filter low frequencies in order to allow CVs to pass through, including DC offsets.
AC coupled modules can filter these offsets, and therefore can be kept in check to +/- a few volts without damaging your line level equipment.

So now imagine, you’ve plugged a 10V offset onto the 4x St mixer by mistake, then get that straight out to the 1/4 jacks of the case, what’s next, where do you go from here? Plug this onto a line level synth or mixer input?

I think you need at least an AC coupled module as the last element of the chain before the 1/4 jack outputs, less likely to damage your equipment. Unless your are thinking plugging it to another Eurorack level, but if you are using 1/4 jacks I suspect that’s not your intention?
(Might also be working tor 5U modular, apart from that I’m not quite sure.)

Either that, or get either the Intellijel Stereo Out or Stereo Headphones, which also reduces the hot output to something that won’t saturate your connected equipment.

I always plug straight into my mixing desk and use the gain to control the level. Never had a problem.

I think the annoying part is DC mixer introduces click and pops etc, if your audio in have slow DC signals.
1. Using a slow LFO to modulate the wavefolder symmetry.
2. Use a slow Function Generator to modulate the frequency of a VCO (i.e. vibrato).

Too bad this mixer is DC coupled, rather than AC coupled like Mixup or Hyrlo. Otherwise, I am interested in buying one.

This is VCA based mixer, so the signal is not passing through the potentiometers thus does not have artifacts during twists if DC is present.

hmmm .. I think I got it now, so this mixer uses SSI 2164(?) VCAs and the pots are actually changing the CV Bias of the VCA, so whether it is DC or AC coupled doesn't matter much because this mixer are way-less prone to bleed / crosstalk etc. like all other mixers do?

I tried to use a DC coupled VCA with Intellijel Stereo out 1U to simulate what will happen if I mixed a DC offset accidentally to the audio input of a DC coupled mixer. The audio signal will still be distorted in certain extreme conditions, so VCA headroom might be an issue if it is DC coupled. Meanwhile, an AC coupled mixer completely eliminated that issue.

I think the best practice is still to use an AC coupled mixer to remove any DC signal from modules, since analog modules like oscillator / filter etc. are imperfect and they all have some DC offset in certain extent, although most likely it is only in mV.
