Jeez, the price is right. Those distortions look useful.

I've been looking for a module solely dedicated to good LFO action for quite some time, so I ordered the thorn LFO. Looking forward to trying it!

200 bucks isn't a steal for a 1-channel LFO, but it offers quite a bit; price seems reasonable to me.

Hi there, thanks for creating the thread. And thanks for buying a module!
I made this, so just wanted to create an account so I can answer any questions anyone might have.
All the best,
Hallvard

Is the sync a reset or does it determine the speed?

I can answer that, cause I RTFM that’s linked in the first post.
(It’s a reset)

Yes, it starts the cycle over again from the beginning.
Tom AKA Electric Druid who programmed these also made one with a tap-tempo style sync, and it is in use by Frequency Central in one of their modules already.

Somehow I assumed this could be pitch sequenced as well, you’re totally right.

Hey Hallvard,
welcome to MW

My pleasure. I also added the module to modulargrid (other/unknown) - I hope that's ok?

Cheers,
t.

The aesthetics are lovely. I'm not in the market for another LFO right now but I'll keep my eye on your work. Best of luck!

Optx, of course! Thanks for doing that!
I've been lurking around as Hallwrk for about thirteen years, but haven't really been active posting and it seems that account disappeared at some point :)

deftinwulf - thanks!

The dutchman is always in my pocket =)
After spending a few hours with it I can confirm that I really like it. It's a pretty clever LFO with lots of features.

Gut gemacht Jungs!

Hi, not yet, I’m pacing myself with scaling up so I can get familiar with supply chain issues and find out what manufacturing flow I should have.

As the module is selling now, I can only manage two shops like Schneiders, so I would have to streamline things a bit more first. Some factories have five months lead times for parts now, which isn’t good for reliability. It’s cool to have pictures of your modules in many shops, but not that useful if they don’t actually have any stock!

The next revision that I am finalizing now will be a bit faster to assemble, but I have a small issue of using Taiwanese pots and switches and assembly in Shenzhen... They’re not so good friends sadly.

Working on it!

I like the design, it definitely makes me curious for more.
But I also know this electric druid core, and I have to admit it would have to be about 20 times faster to keep me happy...
