I also have more modules that are in the pipeline.

As well as assembled modules, I plan to sell them as PCB/panel combinations and maybe full DIY kits at some point in the near future.

Additionally, I will be offering the complete system, fully assembled in 6U, 84HP and 104HP options with the case and power etc.

Of course, I will also upload video and sound demos of the modules, as I realise how important this is to buyers.

More details to follow...

Thanks,
Chris

Nice!

I was just browsing modular grid and ebay and saw the VCO and after a quick google came across this thread. System looks great, looking forward to some sound demos, especially with the filters.

Thanks for the kind words. I have a few of the modules on eBay, but you can now order them from my website at www.wavefonix.com.

I'll be adding the following modules shortly as well:
  • 3-Channel Stereo Audio Mixer
  • 10-Step Sequencer
  • Comparator
  • Dual Switch
  • Dual Trigger Extractor
  • Envelope Follower
  • Logic
  • Preamp
  • Waveshaper
Sorry it's taking me so long to post any sound demos. Things have been a little hectic recently. However I will endeavour to do so as soon as I can.

Also, the manuals will be added to the website shortly too.

Thanks,
Chris

Nice job, good luck with it. Certainly a case of Go Big or Go Home :)
I'm not buying a maths though, not my idea of fun...

Hi Chris

Are there any demos anywhere? I've done a bit of searching but not found anything. Your modules seem competitively priced - I'm interested in the 1847 Wavetable Oscillator which seems from the panel to be similar on the surface to the erica synths black module. I'd really like to hear yours!

Sorry about the lack of demos anywhere. I only started up the website a few weeks ago or so. So it is still in it's infancy. But I will certainly upload sound demos and the manuals for each module on my website as and when I can.

Thanks for the interest in the 1847 Wavetable VCDO. I will try and record a sound demo tonight and put a link below to it.

Cheers,
Chris

Hi again everyone,

Just thought I'd share a bit more information about some the modules i.e. a general overview of the features and specifications:

3340 VCO

Wavefonix 3340 VCO (Silver).png

Features
  • Original CEM3340 (Rev. G) architecture for a rich, analog sound.
  • Four simultaneous, buffered 10Vpp (±5V) waveforms including DC-coupled ramp, triangle and sine and pulse outputs, with a controllable PW and PWM CV input (0V to 10V). Pulse output is derived from the CEM3340's triangle waveform using external circuitry.
  • Coarse and fine frequency control knobs provide an adjustable frequency range of approximately nine octaves (approximately 8Hz to 16KHz).
  • 1V/octave input providing accurate tracking over more than ten octaves.
  • Controllable CV inputs for linear and exponential FM.
  • Comparator-based soft (with adjustable level) and positive/negative hard sync inputs offer versatility; allowing the VCO to be synced to many different types of sources, such as envelopes, sine waves, gate signals and so on.
Specifications

Format: Eurorack
Width: 13hp
Depth: approx. 40mm
+12V: 60mA
-12V: 50mA
+5V: 0mA

More info: www.wavefonix.com/product-page/3340-vol ... oscillator

1847 Wavetable Oscillator (VCDO)

Wavefonix 1847 VCDO (Silver).png

Features
  • Versatile 8-bit VCDO providing 16 oscillator and 8 sub-oscillator (selectable at 4 different octaves) waveforms, arranged in a wavetable.
  • Frequency range of 8.18Hz to 8,372Hz (ten octaves) with coarse and fine controls.
  • Bitcrush input allowing output resolution to be varied between 1-bit and 8-bit.
  • Controllable glide (portamento).
  • Dedicated CV inputs for 1V/octave, main and sub FM and waveform select and bitcrush.
  • 8-bit, 62.5KHz sample output rate. Internal waveforms and calculations are 8-bit and new samples are output via the on-chip PWM modules at 62.5KHz. The PWM modules’ outputs are at 125KHz. The fact that this is higher than the sample rate allows more effective PWM filtering to be applied. A two-stage 24dB Bessel filter provides the best-possible pulse filtering.
Specifications

Format: Eurorack
Width: 14hp
Depth: approx. 45mm
+12V: 40mA
-12V: 30mA
+5V: 0mA

More info: www.wavefonix.com/product-page/1847-wav ... lator-vcdo

3340 Low-Frequency Oscillator (LFO)

Wavefonix 3340 LFO (Silver).png

Features
  • Original CEM3340 (Rev. G)-based LFO with a range of modulation options including PWM and an FM input calibrated to 1V/octave when FM knob is fully clockwise.
  • Can be used as a VCO.
  • Three simultaneous, buffered 10Vpp (±5V) waveforms including DC-coupled ramp, triangle and pulse outputs, with a controllable PW and PWM CV input (±5V).
  • Overall frequency range of approximately 0.05Hz to 4.5kHz (e.g. when using a 1V/octave source). By default, the coarse and fine frequency control knobs provide a frequency range of approximately 0.05Hz to 100Hz (this range can be changed using a trimmer on the PCB).
  • Comparator-based reversing sync input allowing the LFO to be synced to many different types of sources, such as other LFOs, envelopes, gate signals and so on.
Specifications

Format: Eurorack
Width: 10hp
Depth: approx. 40mm
+12V: 60mA
-12V: 40mA
+5V: 0mA

Cool, seems inspired by Digisound. Hopefully a "2130" VCO, "2140" VCF at some point?

Thanks. There certainly will be VCO and VCF modules with the SSI2130 and SSI2140.

I believe the SSI2130 IC has just come out, so looking forward to hearing it.

Awesome. the Aries AR-338 is a great sounding oscillator based on the SSM2030 if you're looking for inspiration. But the new SSI2130 has potential for more, such as through-zero FM.

Oh yes, the SSI2130 does sound very sweet!

I'd love to build some of these when the PCB/panel combos become available!

Hey these look great, are these silver panels?
That and black Davies
Wavetable osc sounds great and I’d love to hear that HPF!
The passive DAC is a cool idea, I sometimes patch together a little thing just like that to generate melodies from multiple unsynced LFO rate square waves.
