When is the next built batch any idea of the timeline? :)
I currently have a waiting list going. I'm going to start taking people's money for the next batch in a few weeks. If you want to join the waiting list, send me an e-mail at info [at] threetom [dot] com. Currently, the amount of people on the waiting list is larger than my batch size though.

I'll also be resupplying Exploding Shed with full DIY kits and Wiretaps in a month or two :).
Sure hope I made the cut! I will sure keep an eye on my inbox; I would even pay you right now, whatever it takes to get one of these little gems.

I also tried to match both peaks at the same knob position, since it makes the two filters a lot easier to play with, and easier to calibrate the second one once you have done one already.
Bonus I guess, is having calibrated the filters myself, I now understand a lot better how they behave. I still need to read a bit more of the manual and try the interesting patch ideas.

Resonance past 12o clock is nasty, and depending on gain brings on all sort of cracks and howls, which I guess is typical of this type of filters (I never had an MS20).
I'm glad you appreciate the learning opportunity here :). I believe the original MS-20 doesn't have such a large range of resonance though. I seriously pushed the boundaries of the resonance control on the MS-22 because I thought it was interesting :).

Any chance for more full kits coming to Synthcube?
Last year I've supplied Synthcube with a big stock of PCBs that have all SMT components pre-soldered (and panels of course). They were going to turn these into full kits. I'm not sure what's causing the delay. They do seem awfully busy these days.

I’ve read people in other module threads asking their feedback to go up to 11. I would probably rate the Steve’s MS22 resonance to a 15, no complaints here!
Just remember not to flick that res matrix switch toward positive by mistake, like I did a couple of time already :zombie:

So far my favourite part is getting the high pass above the low pass with a little bit of resonance, then increasing the gain to make up for the lost dynamics until I get what I guess is some sort of double narrow band pass filter giving the bass a little more extra buzz. At this point it almost feels like my SEM filter but with more possibilities on finding sweet spots.

The two attenuator knobs are great. It might make the panel feel a bit busy, but it open ls up lots of possibilities that I didn’t have with my other 4HP filter it replaces.

Just placed my order for one from the July batch. Once Morph 4 comes off backorder and gets delivered this will be that last "hole" in this rack.

In my latest patch I set the gain matrix switch to minus and feed the kick envelope to the mod matrix’s CV, resulting in a very nice ducking effect. So simple, no extra attenuverter or VCA needed!
These little switches can sure come in handy. :tu:

I also use it to filter and distort a random Pico Voice output (PWM I presume). I actually surprised myself how good this already sounds.

Adding a recording I made tonight while exploring recording from my phone, in case anyone is interested in how nearly full gain with ducking from the kick envelope sounds like:

What’s the best way to pick up a fully made one of these?

Is there somewhere to place an order? Or get on a waiting list?

Send a message directly to the mastermind telling them you would like onto the waiting list. I suspect the "roughly July" batch is already all gone though... (I could not get my payment to him fast enough when I found out my spot on that list was high enough...)

I believe the last batch was all sold out in record time.
Your best bet is probably to subscribe to Threetom’s mailing list:

Hi guys, the best way is to join the waiting list by sending me an e-mail at info [at] threetom.com.

Yes, the "July" batch sold out in 2 days again. I also didn't expect people to order more than one, so that's why they sold out, despite there being a module available for each invite. Some people also didn't respond to my e-mail, so I just assumed they were no longer interested. Send me an e-mail and I'll see what I can do about stretching this batch with one more unit for you.

I finally found some time to make a patch myself last night. I really should implement some ducking on that one too, like you did :). :sb:

As a final note: I'm not sure that a lot of people realize, but Threetom is not my full-time job. Despite that, I do manage, to crank out a fair amount of modules and kits. Still, demand is currently higher than what I can produce. So, please be patient and join the waiting list, it'll eventually be your turn to get one :)

Hey Folks, don't forget you can actually buy Tom a coffee on his website, which might give him greater energy for more modules.
It actually goes to coffee in his case, it's not just some gimmick. :hyper:

Hehe, thanks for pointing that out ;)

Perhaps a bit off-topic, but here are my favourite roasts for the moment (from my favourite small Belgian roaster): I also scored some other new roasts, but I haven't gotten to them. The Anaerobic one I finished yesterday, so perhaps today's the time to open up a new one :)

PS: there doesn't seem to be a coffee smiley :picard:

I sent an email to sign up on the waiting list a couple of days ago but didn't get a confirmation. Do I need to resend the email or is that normal?
