Mine doesn't do that, but I'd be curious to know how to make it do that? Maybe not all the time, but sounds like a neat noise.Mimmo wrote: ↑Fri Jan 20, 2023 6:34 pm I love "noise" as well but this isn't the good kind. It's like a pitched up frozen Darth Vader's breathing, it has too much character, like an element you could add to a track but now it's on every track you use the module. I love Make Noise, I have many of their modules, but this is a flaw, I don't know if it's hardware related or software but it shouldn't be there.

Nope. Digital
Set the Color to as bright as possible and crank your system's output.cloverandgrape wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2023 6:29 pmMine doesn't do that, but I'd be curious to know how to make it do that? Definitely digital. It was modeled after the DeltaLabs Effectron II 19" rack unit digital flanger/delay from the early 80s (which I actually own along with the original Effectron).cloverandgrape wrote: ↑Wed Mar 15, 2023 6:30 pmIs mimeophon considered analog? Since it's "firmware" based, I assumed that meant digital.
It's talked about here:

Re: MakeNoise Mimeophon
I just updated. Made a recording in Ableton before and after same settings the noise floor on mine dropped by 8 db.
Re: MakeNoise Mimeophon
Hell yeah, thanks for checking that

Re: MakeNoise Mimeophon
Are you sure your Mimeophon has the same input gain setting as it did after the update?
After the update I repeated the test I posted earlier and I get a very similar noise profile -- the level fluctuates by a few dB but it's the same average. (Which is quiet enough for me not to worry about anyway...)

Re: MakeNoise Mimeophon
Yes I measured a drop of the noise floor as well after the update, around 10db!

Re: MakeNoise Mimeophon
Didn’t realize there were updates at all for Mimeophon!
I also found increasing Color, above unity added too much noise.

Re: MakeNoise Mimeophon
Has anyone else installed the newest update and notice the hiss/noise db levels drop when set closer to dry?

Re: MakeNoise Mimeophon
With the update the noise seems more uniform for me, it’s now similar dry or wet. However I have to turn up the levels very high before I can hear any noise.
