would it be possible to do what the Doepfer A-183-4 does ? that is to convert the levels of digital control signals (e.g. gate, trigger, clock) to another voltage level (+12V or +5V) ?

Yes, absolutely, though the disting's outputs don't go above 10V.

Yes, or the Multiplier.

The attenuverter / offset will be handy, thanks.

I'm setting time aside tomorrow for updating...

...and adding easy access to 16 favourite functions via a 'favourites.txt' file placed in the root of the SD card, and these are accessed as O1-P8, with .txt contents:

disting favourites v2
A1
A7
B3
<etc., in the order you choose>

With both I get only up to 9V, could it be a problem with my Disting or a limit of the algo itself so that I can't go all the way up to 10V ?

There's quite a lot of variation in the actual output maximums of each individual unit. It's nominally 10V but I've seen much less.

So you mean, some other Disting could go to 10V and another only to 8,5V for example ?

I would be very surprised if one went lower than 9V.

OK so you mean from a Disting to another I could get any value from 9 to 10V then ?

As a maximum, yes. The calibration means that below that maximum you still get the expected voltage.

Not sure which calibration you mean. Would there be a way to calibrate my Disting so that it does supply the 10V ?

Hi!

I've created a little web tool for the Disting Mk4. You can quickly browse all the available algorithms (firmware 4.21) and view the parameters and descriptions.

If you have a MIDI breakout connected to your Disting and you use a browser which supports the WebMIDI API (Chrome recommended)
you can "pilot" the Disting directly from your browser: load an algorithm, change the parameters.

This little application is available at https://studiocode.dev/disting/

The code is open-source: https://github.com/francoisgeorgy/distinguished

Feedback welcome. If you find a bug or for anything else, please open a ticket in the GitHub project: https://github.com/francoisgeorgy/distinguished/issues
Thank you!

Note 1: to check if your browser supports WebMIDI: https://webmidi.info/
Note 2: for more info about WebMIDI: https://studiocode.dev/resources/webmidi/

This looks awesome. Using Chrome on Big Sur, I've confirmed WebMIDI works on my browser and I get a list of my MIDI devices when I test it -- but am not able to get it the MIDI output pull down to work on your tool.

Hi!
Did you try to refresh the page after you connected your device? The list is still empty?

I got it -- I had done all that, but I also had to enable the little piano keyboard in the browser bar. This is terrific, thanks for building it.

Yes! That's right, the MIDI support must be enable in the browser.

Enjoy your Disting!

Os, have you considered adding a straightforward clock divider as a mode?
