Power Supplies

Post by oozitron » Sat Oct 26, 2019 6:57 pm

All my power supplies are Blacet ones, but I need another, and will need a little more than the 0.4 amps as well.

Anyone have any comments on this one?

That will do the job fine.
I've had that very supply for some of my 5U stuff.
But you will need to be confident in wiring up mains to it safely or know someone who is. There's no built in mains inlet/fuse.

these work fine but there are threads in the diy forum that explain they develop an audible and sometimes annoying physical buzzing if they are handling a large amount of current. i use these lower current supplies for both frac and euro though and have never had a problem.

I have a couple of these supplies from Oakley Sound in addition to a blacet supply (for separate cases):

They're designed to be used with external Yamaha power adapters, which avoids having to play around with mains level voltages.

The power one linear supplies were the core of all of my builds when I was still active in sdiy. Understand things from a safety perspective first and foremost, but have no concerns about their quality and usability.
