My AI017 will do that. You can ping it with CV in or audio in.

Re: Spring reverb VS Digital reverb

I have a lot of digital reverbs and two springs. One is a mono unit in my TTSH and then I have a stereo tapco spring I repaired. They both have different uses but IMHO if you ever mess with vintagy sounds, nothing beats a real spring.

Re: Ways to deal with Heat ?

Forgive my ignorance, but I don't see why it would be costly or time consuming to drill and sand holes in a wooden case, it seems easy and cheap with a drill and some sanding paper. It seems like 3 hours of work tops to me.

If you have a soldering iron, some TRS jacks and DPST switches would do the job in a cinch.

Farnell link for Eurorack Shrouded 2x5 power Header?

Trying to source for a buddy in the UK - any leads? The filters didn't give me anything shrouded.
Tried searching but didn't see anything.

Re: Low pass gates with no bleed?

I added an optional Depth control when I designed the AI017. You can switch it on or off and and then control the Depth with a knob. It is there to remove bleed.

Re: On VCOs, why is the big knob coarse frequency adjust, and the small knob fine? Would it make more sense the other wa

I wanted the Coarse knob to be smaller, but my designer told me that, in his opinion, the knobs that have the "most effect" should be larger. He is an expert and I make it a point to defer to experts so that's how it is on mine. The user can always swap them.

New 0HP Passive Filter / EQ / Learning Project from AI Synthesis

A customer reminded me that I talked about these on the Podular Modcast a million years ago, so I put them out.
Little 1st/2nd order filter PCBs for making high pass or low pass filters to eq / learn about electronics.

If you are going into an audio interface or mixer, there will be/should be/is typically AC coupling in that circuit.

Re: Question To Manufacturers: Trade Show Rigs

I don't like going to trade shows but I normally do a few a year. Being a one man shop - they are a huge time commitment and generally a cost sink, but they are fun and it's nice to meet up with other makers. We tend to hide in our labs most of the time. I've used a different case for each of the fo...

Re: New Eurorack Accessory Eurorackl Cable Clips

Abe, nice product. Have you or the maker done some kind of stress tests? Not even anything rigorous... just attaching one and bending it around a bit. I'm curious about how much they can take, and whether they'll snap or just flex a bit out of shape at the extremes. I should have been clearer in th...

Useful. Will these be coming to Thonk / UK?
No idea - I'm not the designer, I'm just a shop selling them at the price set by the seller.
You would have to contact Thonk. The designer doesn't have a brand as of yet.

$10? :omg:

Would be nicer just to punch a hole in a small velcro strap and mount that on a screw.
Totally understand. These are 3D printed here in the US. If I was getting these from China it would be cheaper. I'm honoring the maker and his wishes.

I recommend people start with kits. I got lucky and bought a guy's hobby, which contained kits and various modules in working/non working order, and that was a great way to learn.

Re: AI017 Low Pass Gate out now, and it comes in black.

Cool module. I also really like that it comes in black. The demo doesn't really show any bongos. Also curious how you're choosing your vactrols. Can we assume them to have similar decays or have you been seeing larger variations? By bongo patch you mean sending pulses to the audio in and then addin...

Thonk's are in shipment. So far Patchwerks and Found Sound have also ordered them. No one else just yet.

AI017 Low Pass Gate out now, and it comes in black.

https://youtu.be/HW1LWf5xoIA The AI017 Low Pass Gate Eurorack Module can be used as a Voltage Controlled Filter, Voltage Controlled Amplifier, or both at once. The Deptch switch allows for "classic" Low Pass Gate behavior, warts and all (leakage) or modern behavior. You can buy it or get it as a kit...

You could tell the difference. The first time I upgraded from my $400 card to my UAD apollo, the difference was shocking. The first time I ran signal through a nice mixer the difference was shocking. Your monitors, mixer, and/or audio interface are the most important parts of your recording and musi...

Re: VCAs that "make everything sound better"?

I use preamps for this. I go straight into the Apollo for clean, but usually into a 500 series preamp when I want color. I don't think you're going to find it in Euro unless the module uses nice big transformers. That's just my 2 cents.
