Re: mam sq-16 questions

I figured this out. 1. Turn on unit. 2. Play pattern. 3. Hold down RIGHTMOST select key in the left nav area. 4. Push a key, 1-16. Ta-da. Rotation. Now you can edit patterns and do whatever normal shit. If something gets stuck or doesn't seem to work, press PLAY MODE until Pattern light illuminates....

I hereby bump this thread. MAM SQ16 manual seems to give bad ROTATE instructions. I only want to ROTATE. Thanks in advance.

Re: tricks for beefing up drum machines?

If you overdrive a filter with the drum machine you can achieve fatness. It's like feeding the drum machine strong-man shakes and apple pie 24/7.

Like Sherman filter or Erica Acid Box or JOMOX M-Res or what-have-you.

Re: Any Boss DR-202 owners?

I am a big DR-202 fan. Many, many years ago I traded some beer for a DR-202. It became my main beat-box for a long time. Then, other beat-boxes came into my life but I never forgot about the DR-202. At one point, I was using the DR-202 every day again as a controller for a Blofeld. Then, because I s...

Re: 90s synths going for peanuts...

Recently rec'd cheap eMu "Mo'Phatt." It is better than the "Planet Phatt" because the samples have a "mo" quality to them. I promptly ripped the ROM card from the purple enclosure and plopped it into an open slot on my eMu "XL-1" because orange is cooler than purple (to me). To add some extra "mo," ...

Re: Roland TR-06, TR-6s, TR-606 (cloud)

Unless I have missed crucial instructions, I would like to see the following in a future firmware update for the economical and fun TR6S: 1. LFO per instrument. 2. Probability per instrument per step. Even without those two elements, I find myself using the TR6S frequently as a little spicy fajita i...

Re: Cool Standalone Boxes - Like Benjolin or ?

I'm a big fan of the Benjolin, and have two in my Eurorack case, though I've seen them as standalone devices too, which looks fun. I also have a Grendel Drone Commander, which I enjoy. I was wondering if anyone could recommend some other cool instruments that are standalone tabletop boxes and fun f...

Re: Roland TR-06, TR-6s, TR-606 (cloud)

FYI, my TR-6S is on the way from Sweetwater. Ditto but from DetMod. Reasons I decided to order a brand new drum machine instead of a couple used shitty drum machines: 1. I don't have any Roland x0x in my set-up at present and really, not at all. Just some 808 samples in the DR-5 and SC-33. Looking ...

CV over algo change is massive. The Irukandji doesn't have that but it does have 1,000 rabid Nintendos inside.

Flame Echometer is the craziest MIDI sequencer I've ever heard. Difficult to explain exactly what it does. Splatter kills three notes, I guess.

Re: Proteus 2000 data entry knob not entering data?

As an alternative, I used a Bourns PEC16-4215F-N0024 to fix my XL1. They are only $1.18 at Mouser. I may even have one spare that you can have. This is good to know. Thank you for the offer of the spare part but I was able to return the Proteus 2k to the vendor. In case anyone here is worried about...

Proteus 2000 data entry knob not entering data?

Long shot q. but anyone here have experience with the Proteus 2000 data knob not entering any data?

I can navigate the screen using the cursor buttons but turning the knob does nothing.

Any thoughts welcome!

Thanks.

Re: Any justification for waldorf blofeld in this day and age?

The prime justification for a Blofeld in 2020 is the randomize button. Randomizing Blofeld patches yields absolutely incredible results. If not at first, then after a few tries or a few hundred... no matter, it's an instantaneous process.
