Re: audio interface dilemma and studio routing design

Thanks for sharing phasebash ! I'm now strongly considering the UCX as I re-did the maths and looks like the channels are enough (also to say bye bye to the mixer), BIM and BAM in the same "AUX" but is fine for me using them one at the time - BOUM in it's own "bus" and I can use the headphone out to...

audio interface dilemma and studio routing design

I need your help fellas. Probably very boring discussion but I try: Attached you find a picture of my studio. I'm able to record direct to Logic using the mixer: conversion is 16bit As you can see there's a DIGI 003, it was from another computer and now I wanted to consolidate everything using the l...

Question on oscillator sync and harmonics

Hello people, just curious about this thing because I really like the sound effect and maybe someone have a quick graphic resource around or a good way to explain it to me: why a synched oscillator produces an harmonic series (is it a perfect series?) when its pitch is pushed higher than the other? ...

Hi there Wookiee_eu , most of the things regarding the two different directions has already being said, I can add a couple of sound clips involving the CocoQuantus to let you grasp the "sound quality" topic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUP0309mHio&t=1s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hV_AfZKkKvg...

Not sure how many signals you have to mix, but here you have some examples: http://www.redpandalab.com/products/mixer.html https://bastl-instruments.com/instruments/dude https://www.thomann.de/it/rolls_mx_41b.htm https://www.thomann.de/it/behringer_rx1602_v2.htm Generally speaking you are looking fo...

Fast forward + integrated mic, could be MN take on my daddy's radio-cassette player!
Are you sure it says F/F?
I guess not, sorry for being misleading, maybe it's "t/F"?

Activation correlated to the mic could be a threshold for automatic recording a-la-looper? A stand alone sort of Morphagene/System Concrete? I'm very curious about this one.

Re: Multi-track cassette recording help!

If I got the question right: on a 4-track cassette recorder you won't flip the tape, now I do not recall exactly how it works technically speaking (but it's related to how the recording/play heads interact with the L+R tracks on A and B sides, which are in fact a total of 4), so you record the 4 tra...

Re: Fender Champion 600 + bass guitar

When you do get a bass amp, pay attention to the cabinet. You want a closed-back cabinet for deep, tight low end. Most bass specific cabs are closed-back, but not all. And just passing on the general advice to pay attention to the cab you get. The old portaflex tone for instance has a lot to do wit...
