Re: Reverb or eBay?

Have used both Reverb and eBay and never had a problem yet.

If selling on eBay I usually wait for one of the regular £1 selling fee offers.

Re: MusicThing Radio Music -- sounds, patches, ideas

trigger a sequencer or stepped random generator with the same thing thats triggering your adsr or if your adsr has a end of cycle output use that. use the sequencer or random generator voltage then to change the station. Great tip! Can confirm Mimetic Digitalis is excellent for such station-changin...

I wish there was a UK stockist for these. I know they are looking into it from what was said on social media, but nothing available yet as far as I know.

Re: Discovering Modules I Bought 8 Years Ago...

Totally different details but on a similar theme - I've only been a Eurorack user since last year but since the autumn have become more and more obsessed, such that the rest of my existing stuff - all my DAW plugins, a Moog Subsequent 37 and a Sirin, and a Digitakt have all been left mostly ignored....

Re: Winter Modular Eloquencer Sequencer

As a new user of the Eloquencer am just learning my way around it. Have already decided to make some template projects with patterns/tracks left blank, so that when I have an idea I already have chains and parts set up to work with. Am aware the 1.3.9 beta software is available, which includes now t...

Great first post. As someone who also started quite recently I would also add to the above that, in my opinion, you can never have enough envelopes. I say this because I currently don't have enough!

Re: Erica Synths Graphic VCO

I’ve had mine since August and over the past couple of months I’ve noticed a problem developing with the LCD screen. It’s fine on start up but after about half an hour the image starts to degrade particularly towards the top left of the screen, and over several hours it becomes much worse. Is anyon...

Re: Pamela's new workout without owning an oscilloscope?

As a relative novice to modular I've recently been using the oscilloscope in VCV Rack, via the Expert Sleepers ES-6, I found this really handy for use with Maths, but haven't tried it with Pams yet.

Was fortunate enough to have seen Peter Hook do a Joy Division set at Riot Fest 2013, and a late aftershow at Double Door (Chicago) doing a set consisting of New Order's 1981-1982 EP, Movement, and Power Corruption and Lies. I saw Joy Division on their 1979 tour supporting the Buzzcocks, just after...

Prok Drums sequencing options

Having successfully started in the DIY world with Radio Music and Befaco STMix, am now considering the four Prok Drums. At the speed I work that would keep me soldering for weeks, however that gives me time to consider options for sequencing of these. I currently have an assortment of options: Pams,...

Doesn't seem to be available though. Thonk are no...

Re: Befaco STMix help needed

No, sorry, the resistance values were a bit of a brainfart on my end: that's the expected situation when you are looking at just that part , but in an assembled circuit there's a lot more going on in parallel. For example, you will be measuring the right and left gang on the pot at the same time (s...

Re: Befaco STMix help needed

OK here goes - see my findings in red. I have checked all inputs, pots and resistors, not just the ones for Ch2. See attached scan of the schematic where I have ticked the resistors which measure as expected and indicated the measurements for those which don't. The measurements for nearly all the re...

Re: Ensemble Oscillator from Matthias Puech & 4ms Company

I have the ENOSC and love it, but I also really like the demo's I've heard of the Make Noise Telharmonic. Is anyone using both? I think for me it would be overkill considering I also have the Spectral Multiband Resonator, but interested in any others experiences.

Re: Befaco STMix help needed

No, those two lugs on the sides of pots are indeed mostly for extra structural support, and in theory grounding them could help reduce noise in some cases, but not connecting them shouldn't cause anything to stop working. Not soldering them down as long as you might need to make changes may even be...

Re: Befaco STMix help needed

Thinking about the above the morning after, if Ch2 is not summing to mono then is it true to say the problem is unlikely to be the R input? If the left isn’t summing to mono then am thinking for someone who knows more about electronics than me that must point to something to do with the Ch2 potentio...

Correct, the notch and the dot both indicate the pin 1 end: https://farm5.static.flickr.com/4054/4422304144_73f53cb336.jpg (from here ) On some smaller packages the only indication is a slanted edge on one side (also the side of pin 1). Thanks, that's really helpful. Well I've finished my build now...

Re: Befaco STMix help needed

Am building one of these right now, have just got to the stage of inserting the three IC's into their sockets. I just want to check something. The sockets have the curved indentation at one end for polarity, which I have installed to obviously. But the IC's themselves don't have any visual indicatio...

Re: Is Covid sorting the men from the boys? Re: Availability.

Imagine the near future when covid is history. Things won't be much different to as they are now. Modules will sell out and the next run will 9 months later or whatever. All of the stuff being available all of the time never happens. Modular is super niche and in many cases the "manufacturer" is a ...
