DIY Case Power Input

Hello, I have finished designing my 7u 126hp travel case but have quite an issue in deciding what the least obtrusive way to bring power into my system without using a 3u rack space. Ideally, I would like to save 3u rack space at all costs. I have looked around but haven't found any great resources ...

Re: Getting started with a Drum Palette

Along with the more typical interpretations of drum module (i.e. dedicated snare, hh, what not....) I would recommend a small filter or lpg with a noise source or rather a dissonant FM tone generator(2OPFM). This will give you the ability to have super clicky percussion with triggers sent to the LP...

Re: the DIY cases thread!

I have a pair of the pulp logic 6u bracket. I ended up using the Synthrotek drilling template to do the spacing.

Re: the DIY cases thread!

Thank you for the response. I am trying to rationalize the different approaches. I am thinking that if the rails flip which side the open
track faces that the difference in the offsets will be (~0.001") or (~0.0254mm) which for all intents and purposes should be a workable margin.

Re: the DIY cases thread!

Quick bracket spacing question. I am making a sheet metal travel skiffish thing. 7U with a pulplogic row in the middle. I just finished a mockup of the brackets and wanted a second lookover to make sure it looks alright. I am using vector rails and the spacing ins 4.82" Screen Shot 2020-11-26 at 2.4...

Re: Help with 1st case, Aruturia? MakeNoise skiff? Mantis?

I hated the, "go big for your first rack" advice, but now almost a year and a half in and am building my third case(3u 60hp)----> (6u 70hp)----->(7u 104hp), so I would say go at least 6u 84hp. As for buying something, the Doepfer and Mantis seem like good buys. The prospect of doing something DIY ma...

Re: Make Noise 7u Steel Case w/CVBus

Hi,

I am wondering if the 1u CV bus is removable and if so what is the width of the row? Would it accommodate pulp logic or Intellijel formats?

Re: 14hp for a kick that’s not just a kick

Definitely consider the SSF/WMD BDS. I just got one in a trade. Can make all sorts of Kicks, Toms, other bass tones. Also, you can feed it and external wave and use it as another filter with cutoff and resonance control. Envelope outs make it easy to pseudo sidechain. I haven't heard much about the ...

Vectorscope Troubling a Noob

Hello, Before I begin any help and or advice is greatly appreciated. I recently found a vectorscope at an old electronic market and decided to take advantage. My goal was to create and experiment with signals from my eurorack. I found a Leader LVS-58508 NTSC vectorscope. I ordered BNC to 1/8" cords ...

Rack Building Challenge Idea

Hi, Thought of idea that was somewhat intriguing after seeing a thread asking about max patch point on a single module. The idea stems from the idea of squad building from FIFA(primalry Futhead) in which arbitrary constraints are issued in order to generate creative squads. With the incredibly diver...
