Re: Behringer brains, warmed-over Plaits with wobbly knobs?

I wont be buying this. It's ugly, it's too wide and my mutable plaits works just fine already. I bought a neutron which was my gateway drug into a full rack, and now I know more about the company, I fully expect this to be the last thing I ever buy from them (Whoever said the neutron pots are wobbly...

My search skills have failed me, I tried to find this module and the company but didn't turn anything up - do you have any links?

Mylarmelodies can keep waggling his digits all he likes. I love the way his frenetic gesturing gives us another window into his speeding mind. It's exactly this man's presentation style that has parted me with a fair stack of cash, damn his wonderful fidgety fingers.

Thanks so much - apologies it was right there in the manual, I should have spotted it!
Haha, no worries, the manual is pretty dense :).
As am I :hmm:

You're right though it's going to take a while to get properly acquainted with this module/manual but its totally my favorite right now.

Re: Intelljel Metropolix

I've spent a few hours with my new metropolix and ive been enjoying the ride but I noticed that if I save two presets that have wildly different slider settings when I load them they seem to play whatever the sliders are currently set to. This means any melody I save is lost - is this normal? Am I ...

Almost free

A while back (summer 2020) someone posted here asking to buy unfinished 5u modules, old diy stuff etc. I have two diy modules in 5u from way back that I never got around to finishing (stalled after not finding the right size connectors, never got back into it). So I made contact, sent photo's etc. T...

Re: Expert Sleepers disting EX

All the mk4/dual mode algorithms loop by default, largely for historical reasons. If you don't want that, you need to create a playlist with the -loop=0 flag. Thanks for clarifying. Can the playlist.txt be in the root of the SD card to affect all the sample folders, or should it be placed in each i...

Re: Sherman filterbank replacement in euro?

I'll be keeping tabs on this thread in case someone comes up with a magical eurorack combo that comes close to the Sherman Filterbank. I've searched and recently resigned myself to the fact that if I want that sound, it's gonna have to be outside of my Eurorack, and that's "ok". I now have a Sherma...

Re: HOW are YOU integrating equipment into your workflow???

I write stuff in the DAW that I keep, I make stuff on the modular I throw away. I generally have more fun "in the moment" on the modular. One day I'll get around to solving the ground loop that adds a high pitched bzzzzzz to my modular > pc interface (scarlett 2i4) which will bring the two worlds to...

Re: next best case

Not mine but I've just seen this on ebay MDLR for sale Interesting! Something I've realized with MDLR cases is they're shown without VAT on, so that's another 20% to add to the web prices, plus postage, so perhaps ebay is my best route. Seems there's a gap in the market really (between 7u intellige...

Re: next best case

I was in pretty much similar situations; I "needed" another case and Intellijel 7Us were out of stock. I purchased a second-hand (albeit brand new) MDLR 14U, 126 HP. It's definitely a different feeling, but it's fairly versatile (re: how you want to arrange your 1U rows, which format, if you want t...

A single MDLR one?
The performer case looks like it would fit the bill. 1420 euros, 126 HP. The hinge system looks kinda clunky - anyone with experience?

2 x unobtanium intelligel cases @ £559 each is significantly more affordable for me if anyone had stock - are there any other options?

Re: next best case

Looking for some advice - would like 2 x intelligel cases joined using their metalwork, 7u each, powered. Trouble is everywhere is out of stock. Is there anything out there which is similar? They don't have to be metal, hinged somehow might feel like a bonus as I do plan at some point to give playi...

Re: Master clock

I'm using a beatstep pro with the clock out connected to a "tip/ring" breakout with the tip going to clock in and the ring going to run on a PNW. Nice and immediate with the big play / pause/run buttons and master time encoder. Worked first time with no further configuration of the BSP/PNW. Although...

At US$ 149 even with limited cv control in the initial design I'd be tempted. Would be far better with a reset in added at the very least just to keep it synced with other modules.
