Re: Endorphines 6HP

Then I found where all my noise was coming from. The frikkin' Endorphins.es - Cockpit. Basically it's trash. Even with all inputs muted; noise, and lots of it. That module was masking all the other noise sources. Yup, by now I just stay away from any endorphin.es module. Except, I still rely on my ...

Re: Expert Sleepers Disting Mk4

Recently acquired 2 mk4’s and put a 2GB SD card in one of them (had it going spare). When changing the algorithm mid-flow the screen went blank and the module became unresponsive. I would power down and power back up and after start up the SD card loaded disting just showed a single red dot. I would...

Re: Vertical or horizontal? The ergonomics of modular:

If I’m honest, I much prefer horizontal. My first case was a Doepfer LC6 and even sat down, stood up, I never really felt engaged with it. I have since got myself a Modulaire Maritime case and I immediately felt more connected to my modular with it being horizontal. Just feels more immediate to me w...

Re: Today my small discovery was...

That the attenuverters on Plaits do more than that. If you have a trig coming into trig CV turning them applies the LPG envelope to Timbre or Morph opening new tone controls. Also the FM attenuverter is a glide control. Had not known either thing & it is a delight to now know. Nice touch, I’ll try ...

Yarns maybe? Looks like that module was recently moved to the discontinued bin
That would be nice as I was looking at Yarns. I’d welcome a smaller version however it wouldn’t be the end of the world if it wasn’t.

Re: Output module with balanced outs

Question on headphone jack impedance on an output module. Does anyone know how high it generally is? I’ve checked the intellijel outs manual and says “supports high impedance headphones”. How high do we think? I’m considering some open back headphones and I don’t want to shell out on high impedance ...

Plaits is one of the cooler VCOs that I can think of. Relatively easy to use, lots of cool modes to play with and it covers a lot of territory. Great module if you wanted to kill a bunch of birds with one stone
I agree with Plaits. Loads of fun!

Never owning a disting before and being new to eurorack, the mk4s are kinda cheap now considering.

Does anyone recommend getting a (few) mk4s or diving head first into the EX?

Re: Output module with balanced outs

I have the intellijel outs and I can’t complain. Does what it says on the tin, pretty basic compared to the mentioned but I tend to just run headphones 99% of the time and does the job. I might look into something different/better but I myself are new to eurorack so it was almost the first thing I s...

disclaimer : biased opinion about airstreamer, don't trust me, at least this is an extract of some of the design goals : - great envelope, easy to use, well designed (looping mode, attack/release, attack/sustain release), very good shaping and easy to control. The story could stop here, it was the ...

I don’t mean to take it away from the sqwark and MW issues but has anyone tried the airstreamer? Any good?

Re: Price check on MI Clouds in Europe

ebay is always way more expensive since its costs a lot to put up a module there.. Modular grid is probably the cheapest place to buy, the ones putting up the module for sale can directly see if others have something there and what price they're selling at so they'll have to go a bit lower. Noted, ...

No clock? Batumi is great for clocks and as a (trigger) sequencer as well. There's also Marbles, which is a great sequencer and trigger source. It has internal clock too, so he's not missing out on clocks at all. An envelope can be good, but not really needed for any of these modules. I agree with ...

Newbie here to MW and Modular as of this Christmas. I get the dark thing. All drones or ambient sounds I’ve tried making end up dark. I don’t know why and half the time I love it but i would love some uplifting light-hearted drones. This Christmas I started out with the 4MS SMR (I’ve eyes it for age...
