- Pressing the buttons is loud, and you will hear it on the recording when recording into a microphone - so you must use CV for this, which makes it a little less immediate. The Morphagene's record button is quiet.
Button clicking aside, I would still find a way to record without a microphone.

Re: Heavily Joranalogue based system users

I have dual Contours as a Maths alternative. I've been thinking of getting a second Generate as a modulator. I'm using a TS-L v2 right now and I'm not digging it as much.

Definitely look Select 2 too! It's one of the best.

I have four of them. It's not noisy by itself but high gain compensation will amplify noise that's already there.

Re: 1010 Music Bitbox - Sampler/Looper

Is that with your wacky giant multisamples or with a normal single hit? I have an old one and it can keep up with extremely dense triggers from Flux. But it gets clicks and dropouts with bigger files or dense triggers on 10+ channels. I recently had a bunch of 41k stereo samples I had to tweeze into...

I've been bugging Barry about external clocking issues for ages and I think some improvements are on the horizon.
The PPQN thing is a bug that should definitely be fixed in the next firmware.

Re: FLUX - Temporal Modulation Rhythm Sequencer

Even doing "normal" beats, I have been reaching for Flux because of the control it gives over micro timing and feel. If you get that locked in with some velocity modulation then you can really get the groove that lots of sequenced music is missing, but algorithmically instead of having to offset hi...

Re: Erogenous Tones - STRUCTURE

3D nodes are fed by two inputs. They have a frag to set which one is the texture but there's also a setting further down to pick which one is the background. GEN1 IMG1 3D EFX1 So you would pick input1ToShape to feed it the GEN and then set Background Mode to Input2 to feed that the IMG. Then you st...

Re: Erogenous Tones - STRUCTURE

What I want is to supply a static png image to use as a backdrop to a 3D object that's texture is fed from a GEN or a 2D. The image should have no effects on it, just a static backdrop behind the 3D object. 3D nodes are fed by two inputs. They have a frag to set which one is the texture but there's...

Quantization errors just means the pitch being off. You won't damage anything.

Re: Xaoc Odessa, 1975 Variable Spectrum Harmonic Cluster VCO

Quantizing just sets it to the closest correct voltage. You can quantize a signal multiple times since it's just a voltage in and a similar voltage out, I can't think of how this could cause glitching. I've used Hel with O_C quantizer apps before, Acid Curds and Automatonnetz work great.

You don't generally remove firmware, it gets overwritten during the flashing process. If the process completed successfully then you are running...

Does each axis have 8 waveforms (single cycle on loop?) or 8 different full wavetables? If the later, does the module cycle through the table if the knob is set on a particular axis? How do the axes interact? I think, based on the videos, that it operates as 8 waveforms in each axis... and, based o...

How hot do any of your touch plates get btw? Feel like mine get pretty hot and the two deck knobs gets very loose. When the Lubadh is powered off the knobs become much stiffer again. Never had this on other modules. Wonder if that's where the power is concentrated? (Btw, loose as in easier to turn ...

I use Overseer. It's great for drops!
what are "drops"?
Filter everything out to silence over a couple seconds and then bring it back in when the pattern changes and the wubby bass comes in. Maximum impact.

Those silicone Gear Ties are so good!

I think the 3" are the most useful, can bundle up 10 or so patch cables. The 6" and larger would wrap around too many times, better for 1/4" cables.

Just bought another dozen, thanks for the reminder.

Anyone have any idea when a US re-stock is happening? Would rather not order from over seas, but signal sound does seem to have them in stock.

Thanks!
Signal Sounds shipping to USA is usually faster than ordering domestically.
