Re: FLUX - Temporal Modulation Rhythm Sequencer

I've been bugging Barry about external clocking issues for ages and I think some improvements are on the horizon.
The PPQN thing is a bug that should definitely be fixed in the next firmware.

Re: FLUX - Temporal Modulation Rhythm Sequencer

Even doing "normal" beats, I have been reaching for Flux because of the control it gives over micro timing and feel. If you get that locked in with some velocity modulation then you can really get the groove that lots of sequenced music is missing, but algorithmically instead of having to offset hi...

Re: Erogenous Tones - STRUCTURE

3D nodes are fed by two inputs. They have a frag to set which one is the texture but there's also a setting further down to pick which one is the background. GEN1 IMG1 3D EFX1 So you would pick input1ToShape to feed it the GEN and then set Background Mode to Input2 to feed that the IMG. Then you st...

Re: Erogenous Tones - STRUCTURE

What I want is to supply a static png image to use as a backdrop to a 3D object that's texture is fed from a GEN or a 2D. The image should have no effects on it, just a static backdrop behind the 3D object. 3D nodes are fed by two inputs. They have a frag to set which one is the texture but there's...

PXL_20210611_035330222~2.jpg My new setup. The main output is going to an HDMI converter and capture card for streaming. The built-in preview is great and helpful but there are definitely times where you need a monitor still. Here it is getting modulation from my main rig but it's also extremely co...

Weird....I've updated Lubadh and Arbhar a bunch of times with Etcher and never had to extract (the admittedly huge and slow) file or had any errors.

Quantization errors just means the pitch being off. You won't damage anything.

Re: Xaoc Odessa, 1975 Variable Spectrum Harmonic Cluster VCO

Quantizing just sets it to the closest correct voltage. You can quantize a signal multiple times since it's just a voltage in and a similar voltage out, I can't think of how this could cause glitching. I've used Hel with O_C quantizer apps before, Acid Curds and Automatonnetz work great.

2) There is no mention in the firmware update instructions about removing the previous firmware file, how do I know I'm not just running the same version? You don't generally remove firmware, it gets overwritten during the flashing process. If the process completed successfully then you are running...

Re: Piston Honda MKIII dual morphing wavetable oscillator

Does each axis have 8 waveforms (single cycle on loop?) or 8 different full wavetables? If the later, does the module cycle through the table if the knob is set on a particular axis? How do the axes interact? I think, based on the videos, that it operates as 8 waveforms in each axis... and, based o...

I would love to see an FX aid XXL with a screen to navigate the FX names!
Love my XL, but I get lost sometimes :/
A dual fx aid with a screen to navigate both of them would be super nice imo

Re: Instruo Lúbadh stereo looper

How hot do any of your touch plates get btw? Feel like mine get pretty hot and the two deck knobs gets very loose. When the Lubadh is powered off the knobs become much stiffer again. Never had this on other modules. Wonder if that's where the power is concentrated? (Btw, loose as in easier to turn ...

I use Overseer. It's great for drops!
what are "drops"?
Filter everything out to silence over a couple seconds and then bring it back in when the pattern changes and the wubby bass comes in. Maximum impact.

The CV expanders can also output gate or CV, so I think it's worth the extra cost to go with those for versatility and configuration simplicity.

Re: Patch cable bundler

Those silicone Gear Ties are so good!

I think the 3" are the most useful, can bundle up 10 or so patch cables. The 6" and larger would wrap around too many times, better for 1/4" cables.

Just bought another dozen, thanks for the reminder.

Anyone have any idea when a US re-stock is happening? Would rather not order from over seas, but signal sound does seem to have them in stock.

Thanks!
Signal Sounds shipping to USA is usually faster than ordering domestically.

Heya! So, I just got my hands on an Arbhar, and was having a ton of fun, but then I ran up on an issue I'm hoping someone could explain... The manual states that Out1 is the one to use if I'm going mono. But, when I output from Out1 I don't get the dry signal at all. If I go wet, I do hear what I'v...

Re: 1010 Music Bitbox - Sampler/Looper

Really wish they would bring back CV over pan and add CV over envelopes.

You'd think this is modular and you can patch that yourself with external VCAs and panners, but with 16 samples competing for only 4 outs, you rarely have a single sample isolated on a channel for post processing.

Yeah, I "expand" mine with an FH-2 and am really pleased with that. Do you have any of the FH-2 expanders? If so, is there any quirkiness with using those (as far as set up goes that is)? I’m really interested in the Vector and I am interested as to how it would integrate with the FH-2. I use FH-2 ...

Ritual Electronics Guillotine is a stereo distortion module. It’s 1U though (available in both IJ and PL formats). It also has enough gain to bring external signals up to modular levels I just grabbed one of these and I'm loving it so far. True stereo and the independent tone control per channel is...
