Re: Zero HP power for Frap Tools Plus

I haven’t done it. But I have a Plus, and I guess you could drill into the wood side panels to route or mount power. I use a 4ms Row Power and it would fit sideways on a side. How do you plan on building a 48hp system? The case modules are 42hp each. My mistake  of course I meant 42 HP ;) Good...

Zero HP power for Frap Tools Plus

Hello folks! I was wondering if anyone tried to fit a Frap Tools Plus case with power source that does not require any HP in the rack itself? (unlike solutions like uZeus that take up HP) I wanted to build a little 48hp system, and the case looks great, but is pretty shallow so I'm not sure it it wo...

Re: Ryk M185 Sequencer - per step repeat and gate mode

Hello! I have recently ordered a kit, and had it built by a friend who is an electrician. After hardwaretesting I observe some weird behaviour: - first of all, the potentiometers dont work in full range. Checked them in hardware test mode, and they all seem to only work in a range from 2nd to 5th LE...

Re: "paradigm shift" modules from your experience

For me a lot of paradigm shifting also happened before I even found out about modular synths. I was learning 3d programs and discovered a plugin called grasshopper 3d. It was something like VCV rack, but for creating 3d-models. Parameters of 3d objects were exposed and one could connect them via "wi...

Re: "paradigm shift" modules from your experience

Yeach discovering that eurorack exists was really THE paradigm shift for me as well haha. For me a big „aha!” moment happened when I began to understand how cv recording works (it happened when I got mimetic sequent) but Im very new to all this madness :)

"paradigm shift" modules from your experience

Allmighty wigglers, could you share some "paradigm shift" modules that managed to change your approach, and perception about what can be done in eurorack? Something that changed your approach to making music, "eye-opener" or "wow-I-never-thought-about-it-this-way" kind of modules? Would be great to ...

Re: 32 HP left in my rack

many many thanks for all the suggestions! Definiteley will take the advice about not buying any more modules for now, will see how it goes from here. I guess I will add some utilities like you mentioned - VCAs, CV gates etc - but maybe after I et to play around with what I have already. As for the s...

Re: 32 HP left in my rack

thanks for the suggestions!
I checked, and A4 is capable of sending gates, pitch or LFOs via the synapse outputs.

You already know this likely but IMO don't rush to fill space. As soon as you spend some time with what you have you will know what you need/want.

32 HP left in my rack

esteemed practitioners of wiggle, I am building my first noob rack. Looking for recommendations on what Im missing there - got 32HP left The idea is to sequence this rack with elektron A4 mk1, and I wanted to have modules that would open up different, weird territories, to go places where the A4 wan...

Re: elektron A4 plus basimilus iteritas alter

Equally, Malekkos Voltage Block is a world of inspiration simply with its randomise feature. Worth a look... I prefer that to the Quad LFO - though they are different beasts. yeach I was a little scared of the voltage block as I couldn't comprehend how it works but after watching some videos I thin...

Re: elektron A4 plus basimilus iteritas alter

The grayscale Synapse is essential as the coloured LEDs make seeing what the A4 is doing really useful. For getting the best out of the BIA lots of modulation is key. You have 4 CV outs from the A4, 1 will be a trigger leaving you with 3. I would recommend something like the Quad LFO from Malekko w...

elektron A4 plus basimilus iteritas alter

dearest wigglers, after years of lurking around the forum, scheming and dreaming I finally wandered into eurorack territory. (Noise Engineering made me do it!) I bought a basimilus iteritas alter, and it came with free mimetic sequent+mimetic multum expander. My plan is to sequence them with my elek...
