THE BEMUS POINT Pand Andia Mor, Limited edition 12" LP

Hey folks, I wanted to let you know about a new LP from my semi-improvised ambient/downtempo/edm duo, The Bemus Point...four tracks, edited down from about 12 hours of live remote performance during the pandemic. My bandmate mostly uses software instruments; I'm on my eurorack modular, and you'll al...

Disting Clocked audio playback tutorial?

I'm hoping to use the Dmk4's clocked audio playback as a drum sample player, the way you can with Radio Thing, but I can't find anything in the documentation about where on the card to put the files, or how to name them, or what the txt should say or where to put that. Is there a tutorial out there ...

Re: Ensemble Oscillator from Matthias Puech & 4ms Company

I think this module is a masterpiece. Every control feels perfectly calibrated, yet with a huge range of sonic opportunities...the FM, wavefolding, and bitcrusher are elements that often let me down but here are amazingly musical. Sequencing the pitch while letting Marbles tweak the parameters makes...

I think my all-time favorite is the Ensoniq SQ-80...like the ESQ-1 plus aftertouch.

Re: MPC Live II availability/impressions?

I have the One and the CV stuff is real easy to setup and use, a killer feature is the abilty to setup a keygroup with auto multi sampling of your patch enabling a pseudo way to save it once set. Or just sample and chop for drums or loops in clip tracks etc. Build a full library of modular noodling...

Re: MPC Live II availability/impressions?

For me, battery power is absolutely the killer feature! I like the idea of the speaker, too—I'd been contemplating the original Live before this came out, but the speaker seems a weird, clever addition to the machine, and worth a little extra money. I like the idea of composing like you would with a...

MPC Live II availability/impressions?

I just spent a couple of weeks talking myself into ordering an MPC Live II, only to realize it appears heavily supply-constrained. Anybody know where to get one, or have one on order? I'm wondering if I ought to preorder from someplace or just bide my time. Also, if you have one, would love to hear ...

Re: Kermit mk III - coming soon

Thanks, that's all illuminating. I think some of my frustration derives from my affection for live knob-twiddling, which preset mode doesn't like. Not sure why I was allergic to performing in edit mode, but that's obviously the solution. I do wish the documentation for IME's modules was a little mor...

Re: Kermit mk III - coming soon

EDIT: I had a question about the preset manager, but let's just say for now that I don't understand it. :) It really is very obtuse. The way it seems to me is, there are 8 preset slots, the "P" versions are "permanent" and can't be edited without double-clicking the main button and going into edit ...

Re: FX AID - multi audio effect module

Somewhat recently I saw a reply from Igor to a comment on a facebook post saying there's a stereo Instant Lofi Junky-like effect in development for the FX Aid! :hail: Naturally I'm super stoked for this and can't wait for it to be available. Wonder when that's gonna get added to the app. :yay: This...

Re: Kermit mk III - coming soon

Edit: Was able to apply device type after about 4 relaunches of MT Lab but now when plugged in it either says Target Device Not Found, or if I flip the Pikit, it says Invalid Device ID. Followed instructions to a T and triple checked everything. God IME could you please just put a micro usb port on...

Re: Kermit mk III - coming soon

well ok wait, so should i be calibrating at x1 and trying to zero in on 480? or should i be calibrating at /4 and zeroing in on 120? also according to the manual, it'll go down to 30.. I did try that, and it went down to...30.1 😕 If I’m understanding this properly, though, 480 is fine...the goal is...

These desktop stands are kinda expensive, but I love ‘em—they isolate pretty well and you can put things underneath them, freeing up desk space
