Dope combo if you ask me. The VCO is packed with functions imo.

Re: Roland D-50 and Roland D-10 patch compatibility.

They are completely different synths. No patch compatibility and very dissimilar in sound. I see. I will have to create my own patches then again. The sound is very different that's for sure. I don't get it though. The synthesis engine relies on the same tone/partial combo set and there are only so...

Re: Roland D-50 and Roland D-10 patch compatibility.

I have owned both D10 and D-110 in the past. The one advantage of the D-110 is outputs for each voice. Other than that, I wouldn't recommend either for exotic sound creation, they just aren't capable of it. You'd be better off with a DX7 if you want to get into 80s sound design ( and terrible UI de...

Re: Roland D-50 and Roland D-10 patch compatibility.

No - the D-10/D-110 is a cut-down LA synth. Structurally it's much closer to the MT-32 than the D-50; on the plus side, this means it's multitimbral, but it doesn't have nearly the amount of modulation options and effects that the D-50 does. Hey. Hm. Good point. They don't sound the same that's for...

Re: Beads vs erbe verb

I have an Erbe Verb and it's amazing. It's definitely got it's own thing going on, but until you have it and it's in your setup you'll never really know how it's gonna sound for you. I'd just choose one, go for it and stop worrying, you'll have fun whichever way you fall. (I wouldn't swap the erbe ...

There's a thread about emulating it with a VCO and function generator here: https://modwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 4&t=241939

You can imitate Mangrove pretty well with a function generator that behaves like Maths -- no retrigger during the rise stage -- triggered by any square/pulse oscillator.

The "air" section is a VCA with overdrive. Xaoc Tallin is good for that.
So if i have Maths how do I do that?

450 to 520 for an ErbeVerb? Damn.. I had a guy offer me one for 300, maybe I should've jumped on that. 450+ seems like an awful lot for a reverb unit, though I'm sure EV does some cool stuff....
Yeah. It’s expensive for an euro reverb. I tried it with TR8 and it worked well on that.

Reverb probably. Everything they make is awesome. I would say buy it then sell it if it sucks. Your chances are better than %50 that it is really good.

Roland D-50 and Roland D-10 patch compatibility.

My birthday is drawing near after a really neat cycle so I was looking through some listings after a while and found a dope, almost mint Roland D-10 up for grabs. I have been really enjoying the D-50 (in plugin form) and made a lot of awesome presets with it. The sound of LA synthesis pairs well wit...

Been hunting for a small form stereo filter, and the Bizzare Jezebel phki has caught my attention. I have no experience with it but you got me intrigu...
