Before the Deluge, I ended up always using A4 CV outs to send clocks to the modular as with A4’s CV sequencing I was stuck inside 64 step pattern and I had way more fun on the Klee and other sequencing options in my rack. But the D is such a powerful and...

So this thing is roughly the price of certain standalone sequencers, and has 2 CV outs. Anyone who is using it for controlling a modular rig: how is the experience? Would you recommend it over a dedicated sequencer, or no? Any shortcomings in that area? Any "this is so amazing this feature alone is ...

Send in the clones.

I have a Model D, and compared to many of my vintage synths it has the following virtues:
- it was inexpesnive
- it functions properly

Drew Mulholland (of Mount Vernon Arts Lab fame, Coil collaborator, and someone who was very early in developing the "hauntology" universe) is raising funding for the realisation of a graphic score which Delia Derbyshire sent to him: https://www.gofundme.com/the-lost-score-of-delia-derbyshire Though...

Ambient Futurepop? Cool.

I personally like the sentimental melody, though that's not often my own personal style.

My main constructive criticism is that there was no substantial bass, either bassline or kicks. But maybe you don't want them.

This is great. I don't always love this style of ambient, but your piece has character that makes it really stand out in my mind.

DIY VST?

So, for years I hoped to become a hardware hacker and make cool stuff (homebrew synths, circuit bent bobbins, whatever). But, as it turns out, I really am not cut out for hardware engineering. So, since I have a software engineering background, I figure that's the way to go. But what has the best ba...

I highly recommend Audeze LCD-X for mixdown (they're very expensive and a bit heavy for constant use) For daily use (recording, composing, film work, whatever), I cycled through and basically liked a lot of phones (Shure SRH-1840, Sony MDR-7506, Sennheiser HD600, etc. before settling on my current B...

Ableton Live literally made me 100x more productive (I have the file history to prove it), because I started life as a cassette loop guy (but eventually just couldn't freakin' take the tedious, breakage-prone workflow of cassettes) and the long, open-ended roll of Logic and Cubase were just not ever...

Doepfer A-118 Eurorack in an Arturia RackBrute, and then you can add a couple other modules next to it, like a Malekko Noise and a Bastl Noise Square, so that you are in noise heaven.
