I don't have any digital-only reverbs, but here's my 2 cents on spring modules. If you want an organic sound, springs will do the trick, but they're less flexible than parametric, digital reverbs. Spring reverbs all use the accutronics tanks and are more or less interchangeable for vanilla effects. ...

Also, not necessarily all fields of the economy go down in a proper recession. Hobbyism tends to go up, partly because people tend to do more staycations and stay close to home in general. Sales always go up in my line of work when economy is tough elseplace, so far.

Be advised that many sellers on reverb check the recommended lowball filter. Reverb estimates that there is an increase in unserious buyers at and below 64% of the suggested price, so if you bid 64% or below, it will go straight to the trashcan. I believe that's sans shipping.

At home i definitely prefer aluminium/silver/white/bright pastels. I try to keep most of my system bright to not conflict with wallpapers, closet paint etc. I find that bright colours are more neutral together with wooden furniture as well. If i only used an instrument panel in the rehearsal room or...

Natural Gates, but with either button toggle switchable (or attenuvertable) "memory" built in, so you can more easily play it more like any typical instrument (ie quick drum rolls or rapid string plucks in succession typically lowers the force of the strike in favour of precision).

The following has been improved with the latest (v0.75) firmware update: -individual bend cv out is no longer biased at -0.049v. Instead i read an by ear unnoticeable -0.002v! Hooray! -the ...

While cynthias video on the 1st topic page is funny, i think it is misleading. Your typical non -through zero fm oscillator doesn't just squash (clamp) an incoming modulation source against the 0v boundary (even if it does that too if you force it to). Rather, it introduces a positive offset bias al...

Let's not forget the mystery of pricing. When i worked in retail, we had this commodity going for ~4 eur. When we decided to increase the price to ~6eur, sales increased . The price alone made people decide the commodity was somehow more valuable/desireable than before. This is not to say increasing...

I'd like to consider myself aware enough. I do a bit of custom circuit design for interactive installations on museums etc, and been DIY:ing modules for about a decade (which is not to say it's the same thing, but it at least helps provide some perspective). It's only a question. I'm not demaning an...

I'm considering it, but the faders would would be counterintuitively placed (and show the wrong direction in regards to their labeled function, being arrows). I've also tried putting modules upside down before, and knobs especially just feel wrong to me that way. it's like changing the fasten/loose ...

I'd probably go for whichever provides me with the widest range of possible sounds if i had to choose. And maybe save one of the other filters that provides me with the most flavour i can't get through the 1st swiss army knife filter of choice. CV over resonance is a must. too many filters out there...

Oh yeah, frames would be very powerful in that context. Sounds great in a studio environment! In my specific case, i want to consolidate a live/jam rig into 107 hp:s / one row, possibly sometimes with a lunchbox or two on the side. Assume a 8hp module for the vc-adsr. frames is 18hp. so that would e...

Yeah, i believe you can achieve similar results in many cases, but not quite. You could also feed a vc-adsr CV:s from addac306 to simplify the handling, going this route. the interfacing is decidedly different. You set two presets you're happy with quickly, and mix them with tracking, instead of wig...

A live performance ADSR. it'd work like this: 2 channels of ADSR. -1 v/o input, with a log/lin/exp bending knob. 12 o'clock is linear. -This is routed to a crossfader between the two channels. -(Indivudual outs of the two ADSR:s as a bonus / for separate use). This way you play the lowest note, set ...

I was thinking that whatever's at heart of the module is exposed by means of detailed CV control... that might also incude supporting circuitry. But basically - lots of patch points that translate into the chips' registers.
