Re: SW-FH2 clock sync - confused

Yes, sorry, confused myself. 24ppqn is 96 pulses per note. Which is 1/64T. Which is native MIDI clock speed, and the speed of the FH-2's internal operations. If it confuses you, imagine how I felt ;-) I'm curious to know what you're using the FH-2 for. It is primarily a MIDI device, and you seem to...

Re: SW-FH2 clock sync - confused

Not sure what you mean. Is that not what I am doing? What should I be doing instead? No, you're going via analogue clocks. If you connect the FH-2 to the computer, you can clock it directly via MIDI. I see what you mean. Well, I wouldn't need the FH-2 if I could do that. The way I look at this is I...

Re: SW-FH2 clock sync - confused

Thanks OS I'm sure most FH-2 users just use a MIDI clock from the DAW. Not sure what you mean. Is that not what I am doing? What should I be doing instead? 6/24 ppqn = 1/4 ppqn 4 pulses per quarter note = 16th notes I am clocking the modular from Logic through SW Sync and the FH-2. My understanding ...

SW-FH2 clock sync - confused

Fellow wigglers, is there anybody who can shine light into the darkness of silent way clock sync and the FH-2 settings? I just can't wrap my head around what does what and how to configure it properly, or maybe I did and am just not sure I am doing it right. Here are my current settings in SW (see a...

Re: Didgeridoo & 5 more parts from ambient patch (Buchla, some Eurorack)

This is great, thank you! It's time I get honest with myself and just commit to going Buchla, it's been nagging at me for years and vids like this keep reminding me how much I've been suppressing the urge. This new Easel might be the tipping point... Thanks for your support! The Easel – any Easel ;...

Didgeridoo & 5 more parts from ambient patch (Buchla, some Eurorack)

In my Patchnotes video I explain the Buchla Music Easel, System 200e & Eurorack patch from my recent ambient live stream. Besides the actual description of how I did the parts, it might also be interesting to hear how these are built and interact for the final live stream. It contains the following ...

Re: Definitive "how to multitrack record your Eurorack"

I use the WMD Performance Mixer with the DB25 module. It sends the direct outs (pre fade) to my SSL Xdesk, where I "only" have a monitoring mix. Its direct outs are multitracked into the DAW via Antelope Orion with up to 16 mono and 4 stereo channels. There 8 spare channels on the converter, in cas...

Not Dante or other Audio-over-IP, but worth a check if you have a spare CAT.5 cable run available:

Re: Why isnt there more Adat interface eurorack manufacturer ?

Going a bit off topic here but... I'm currently building a small Dante network to replace our ancient ADAT and analogue multi-core cabling setup. It's almost completed but I'm looking for a small Dante-to-ADAT convertor and cant find anything suitable. The Ferrofish A32 ( mentioned above by fableso...

Re: Why isnt there more Adat interface eurorack manufacturer ?

ADAT only gives you 8 channels per wire, and the length of the wire is rather constrained with about 15m max, because ADAT is a consumer standard made to connect your Minidisk player to your stereo. I had electricians wire up my studio to get ADAT from one side to the other and we weren't even able ...

I absolutely love sitting in the middle of my patches!!! For what it’s worth, here is a recent patch of my Buchla with piano (in ste...

It has arrived! Hurray!

Does it work with a 64GB as well or does it have to be 32?

Also, what's the frame connector and, sadly, I think the placement is suboptimal, see picture…

Re: Model 220e Hardware Upgrade

Very cool!

Looking forward to your asynchronous pattern mode.

My wish for a future firmware update: pattern definition per output (4 zones = 4 patterns). Given that all 4 voices are driven by the same clock, this would be very helpful.

Free Plugin for Logic Pro to create Buchla V/octave with a Midi Keyboard for the Buchla 251e

Inspired by this discussion, I have just written a plugin for Logic Pro to create Buchla V/octave with a Midi Keyboard for the Buchla 251e. Maybe that was a strange idea, and maybe somebody with actual web/javascript/midi experience can make it work on a web browser instead of Logic, but hey, it wor...

Re: Buchla 251e --- help me get something going with this...

What a I would really love to see, given that there is a communication bus in the system, is a way to directly translate between, say, a midi keyboard and the sequencer. Including a translation into “correct” I.e. calibrated voltages. This should be technically possible, maybe with Doug’s upcoming u...
