At the Gates from Ground Grown Circuits looks really good. Might be worth checking out.
At the gates from Göteborg also sound amazing!
No doubt! I actually went to film studies with Anders almost two decades ago. However, I still like the sound of the LPG a bit better. ;)

Batumi, perhaps?

Not really, though. I mainly use Batumi as a LFO.

Boutique pedal maker praising all of the analogue ones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApJZa8yCMCQ I have the TO100 but never really used it for anything, I just bought a guitar and the UV300.. I have high hopes for it. I had the VM1, a sort-of memory man clone, that I liked but I gave it to my bro...

After a long while of bad cable storage administration I broke down and purchased the Erica Synths cable holder. Too expensive but it solves the issue.

Re: Eurorack vs 5U

not loving the 3.5mm cables and jacks. It seems like sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. Really? :? I've been doing this for about 3 years and I have patch cables from something like ten makers (including Make Noise).. and I've never had a single cable (or any jacks) fail on me. Bad batch?

Re: Can someone talk me out of getting a rainmaker?

I think that if you're disposed like many in this thread seems to be, in that you feel bad about not using a module to its "full potential", then any complex module might be a bad idea. If you feel that you need to use all/most of the functions in every patch you'll be programming Rainmaker a lot . ...

Re: Can someone talk me out of getting a rainmaker?

I got a 4ms Tapographic Delay instead because I thought that Rainmaker was too complex for me. Now I have a Rainmaker and can conclude that I find it more approachable than the TD. Go figure.

I actually buy synths from Amazon and keep them for a month, sample all the sounds and send it back. I’ve done this at least 25x this year.
Is that really true? You must be a very valued customer. Amazon tend to close accounts long, long before anyone makes that many returns.

Re: Is It Bad Form To Try Out A Module, And Then Return It?

If a dealer can't afford to take returns then the dealer really should't have a generous return policy, right? Though, where I live there's a 14 day return policy, no questions asked-situation by law . Mandatory for all dealers. That can be misused, of course. I've returned one module (about 1% of t...

fucking love this thing, a lot more depth than there appears to be at times. And you know I had dat 100x switch on patching out of the distorted out. A...

Re: Is Modular Synthesis More Difficult Than you Expected It to Be?

You know when you get a new module and you want to use it with everything, although it might not be the most appropriate for what you currently do/compose? Not really, but I guess that I have a way less deliberate process than you. I rarely have a task that I need to fulfil using the correct tools ...

Re: Is Modular Synthesis More Difficult Than you Expected It to Be?

No. It’s straightforward so that’s easy. It’s the bottomless potential that was difficult. THIS. How so? Are you guys paralyzed by opportunities in general? If there is a huge palette in front of you it's hard for you to choose a colour and start painting, even if you have painted before and has a ...

Re: Is Modular Synthesis More Difficult Than you Expected It to Be?

No, it isn't. I held off forsuch a long time that I was very ready when i got into it. But more importantly: These days there are eurorack modules for everything so it's easy to mix simple utility modules and complex stuff that actually are semi-manufacture patches in a module, which makes it rather...

I’m curious as to why folks don’t consider the Piston Honda Mk3 a complex oscillator. If you can CV FM depth and change the pitch of each oscillator independently that meets the bulk of criteria for me. What am I missing? i think some people are just scared off by digital and think you can only get...
