Euclidean rhythm was invented in 2004 and has been adapted to eurorack many times. Is that recent enough? 🙂

Re: Cheap but good reverb?

Joyo Atmosphere is a digital (huge) reverb with a bunch of modes, sounds nice and is under $100.

If you want that classic amp spring reverb in s pedal then tou might want to check out Danelectro Spring King. A real spring, under $100.

Re: JHS modules on the horizon?

Interesting that some hold on to grievances that are close to a decade old, as if they where current. Also interesting that so few complaints regarding JHS seem to have much substance. https://realworldworship.org/2014/02/25/the-people-vs-jhs-pedals/amp/ I'll never understand in a world where there ...

Stepped glide is also rather cool, btw. Glissando.. or even chip tune like chirping.

Re: Do you ever pick up cheap Behringer pedals??

Just bought the VP1 Vintage Phaser. I'm expecting it to do the EHX-sound for a fraction of the price.

TC Electronics (owned by Behringer) also puts out quite affordable pedals. I just got the Autoswell, the Juno chorus and Brainwaves.

Nice looking guitar. Looks a bit like my old G&L Asat Special. Nice price that's for sure!
Yeah, and reviewers say it's ok. Great even, considering the price. I wouldn't know. :D

It's Thomann's own brand.

Not really, though. I mainly use Batumi as a LFO.

Re: Do you ever pick up cheap Behringer pedals??

I went down this rabbit hole for a while too. I find the clones are only good for letting you know if you want a better quality version of what has been cloned. In a studio setting I notice their noise and fizziness. Check out the video I posted above. He's a well respected pedal maker, he loves th...

At the Gates from Ground Grown Circuits looks really good. Might be worth checking out.
At the gates from Göteborg also sound amazing!
No doubt! I actually went to film studies with Anders almost two decades ago. However, I still like the sound of the LPG a bit better. ;)

Boutique pedal maker praising all of the analogue ones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ApJZa8yCMCQ I have the TO100 but never really used it for anything, I just bought a guitar and the UV300.. I have high hopes for it. I had the VM1, a sort-of memory man clone, that I liked but I gave it to my bro...

not loving the 3.5mm cables and jacks. It seems like sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. Really? :? I've been doing this for about 3 years and I have patch cables from something like ten makers (including Make Noise).. and I've never had a single cable (or any jacks) fail on me. Bad batch?

Re: Can someone talk me out of getting a rainmaker?

I think that if you're disposed like many in this thread seems to be, in that you feel bad about not using a module to its "full potential", then any complex module might be a bad idea. If you feel that you need to use all/most of the functions in every patch you'll be programming Rainmaker a lot . ...

I got a 4ms Tapographic Delay instead because I thought that Rainmaker was too complex for me. Now I have a Rainmaker and can conclude that I find it more approachable than the TD. Go figure.

I actually buy synths from Amazon and keep them for a month, sample all the sounds and send it back. I’ve done this at least 25x this year.
Is that really true? You must be a very valued customer. Amazon tend to close accounts long, long before anyone makes that many returns.
