Re: The Schippmann Appreciation Thread

I tried the Omega phi oscillator and I must admit that it’s such a beast with lots of sweet spots, you can’t make it sounds bad. You mix both omega and phi oscillators and the results is phenomenal when you fm and pm both or separately .Now I wanna get a second one

Re: Best dual/quad lfo out right now?

I have both Kermit mk3 and Modcan Quad, they offer a large range of modulation I tend to use my Modcan more often since its less menu diving and it's easier to use but the Kermit is much more than just a LFO or modulation it does work really good as an osc as well and can do weird enveloppes shapes ...

Is it currently available ? I am looking for one built in EU new or used.
I am also looking for feedback from users who have both this LPG compared to an Optomix :)

Re: yamaha a3000 effects any good

This might be too obvious, and I use an A5000 which I think has a slightly different interface, but it’s not easy to tell when the FX is bypassed. You have to press one of the encoders to toggle it. What do you mean its not easy to tell when its bypassed ? My unit is very strange I made it works tw...

Re: yamaha a3000 effects any good

You need to change AD:Out to Effect 1, 2, or 3. Another few clicks of the encoder. Hard to say what's going on with the REC mode. How much RAM is installed? I believe mine is 2mb ram with 34814kb/34816kb free memory. I tried to change the ADOUT FX1/FX2/FX3 but now the sound is gone now after I chan...

Re: yamaha a3000 effects any good

I have anA4000, but I think the menu structure is the same... have you set the output of the AD input to feed the FX? And then set the output of the FX to hardware outs? WRT freezing in Rec menu, does it happen when you are just browsing, or when you're actually sampling? If it's the latter, it cou...

Re: yamaha a3000 effects any good

Recently purchased one from Reverb for cheap, screen looks nice as the encoders however I'm struggling to get my audio thru the effects. I'm only using the live audio (no sampling rec), I set-up my L+R input then I go on effects but once I change the effect type there are no audio changes. I tried t...

Re: The Schippmann Appreciation Thread

There is a Omega Phi MK2 version available on Reverb right now. There are not many videos online showing the potential of the Omega Phi to be honest. Maybe that’s the reason why it didn’t got sold as quickly as it should have. I only heard a demo review from an user who has two of them and it total...

Re: Steady State Fate Vortices - Mono + Stereo Mixer w/ Tape Sim

Any tips / experiences with feedback patches. I read the references to Emptyset in the manual but haven’t had any luck getting anything from it. I think I need some pointers / demos... Use your favorite delays and reverbs with full feedback, modulate the Vortices VCA’s and blend your analog VCO wit...

Well, I'll just put it out there that I am willing to pay 1000 eur for a mki and have Cwejman's to trade.
If you are willing to pay that price maybe ask for a new one directly to Schippmann?

Re: Nerdsynth NerdSEQ - eurorack tracker/sampler

OK, not sure about the microbrute, but the keystep got a issue (or feature) with CV + Gate because there is a slew in the CV voltage and it always takes 5 milliseconds until the Voltage is stable after the Gate appeared. Might be also here an issue. For this you would need to enable the compensatio...

Re: O|D ER-301: Sound Computer (Temporarily Unavailable)

Just wondering what peoples thoughts are: Is there a massive overlap between the Assimil8or and the ER-301? Does it make sense to have both in a 12U 94HP case? I use my A8 as a drum machine mostly. I'm thinking I'll sell my MI Beads, get the ER-301, and have the 8 tracks of the Assimil8or go into t...

You can also make it works like a 8 voices wave table unit using Waveedit bank of samples and mimic the scanning Wave table feature while looping samples. There are plenty of possibilities with simple waveforms as well phase modulated each other’s, it can take a bit of time to program things especia...

Re: Nerdseq Vs Erica Black Sequencer

One sort of undocumented feature of the nerd, is you can use it as a 6 part midi to cv converter. Lately I've been routing midi from my octatrack sequencer via the midi expander and then using the standard cv and gate outs to drive modules. Then you can record the cv gate sequence into the nerd seq...

That being said, the manual for Vortices is fascinating and an interesting read even if you don't want one. Yes. I bought Vortices after reading the ‘Design Philosophy’ section of the manual. I’m sure it wasn’t intended as marketing material but totally worked on me! Same for me! The 2hp addition i...
