I always wonder if he had a divide by 147 module built.

Re: Loudest Warning Jams

€10 a cable, wow! I could knock up a batch for people if they are interested. I did them by buying really long pomonas, cutting them in half then a simple solder job onto a 1/8" jack. It really is child's play.

Anddddd another “Arpy” one:

wonderful! Where did you pick up the 1/8th in to banana cables to use with the SQ - 1 to Serge?
They look homemade to me. Super simple if you have a soldering iron.

Re: Loudest Warning Jams

Shittttt! What a beautiful system 😍 I’ve yet to see a LW panel that wasn’t in all fairness but still 😂 Did you build those “arms” yourself? I definitely want a case of some sort if I go for panel #2 but I kind of want something more like an old Halliburton case or whatever, just to make it more gra...

Re: Loudest Warning Jams

What does/did your sequencer panel look like? The labelling is admittedly very hard to read haha but we knew this going in. I just keep a light hovering over the boat. It was a real challenge the first few hours but now that I’ve spent some time with it, it isn’t so bad. Muscle memory is kicking in...

Re: Loudest Warning Jams

Man, love those tones. What is sequencing it? Just an SQ-1! Top row is an 8 step pattern and bottom is a 7 step pattern 👍 I really hope to have a more experimental sequencer for it soon, just not sure what to get 🤔 Charlie made me a wonderful sequencing panel back in 2018, the stuff he is doing mor...

I am really tempted to start a DIY 200 system, this might just tip me over the edge but as asked above, does anyone have a video or guide on how the verbos or original version was supposed to work?

Everything’s been recommended by this point, but I wanted to comment on this.. There are more interesting ASRs and quantizers in Euro. Can be said about many of the classic Serge designs when compared to euro modules these days. Perhaps part of what gives Serge its character and user experience. Ev...

Re: SERGE DUSG Patching Techniques

could anyone walk me through setting up a dusg patch like this (or other complex cv generating patches)? https://youtu.be/p7OwKqR0DNw Yeah, with these types of patch it is key that they modulate each other. One nice thing to try is having cyclic modulation by having the out of one slope trigger the...

It's glorious in it's intended form too, as the 303 example above demonstrates. I love crossfading two of the responses, sounds amazing with a modulated cut off.

Re: OR gate mod for pulses

Okay, nice ideas but the most flexible thing to do is diode the outs themselves. I'm wondering if anyone has opened up their boxes and done this. I'm guessing it's quite straightforward but would be good to know component spec for the diode.

OR gate mod for pulses

Hey folks, I find the MWRS section to be super interesting but I recall than whenever I would stack the logic outs the whole thing would lock up. On my Serge, I had all pulse outs diode protected so every gate/trigger out could be stacked as if they were going though OR gates, crazy rhythms could be...

Keystep Pro? Good deal and a great piece of kit but I've noticed that I never use any of the stuff that I have outside the rack to control the rack. I don't know why. :despair: Just put it right in front of your rack. One of the best out there in terms of cost to function ratio. 4 sequencers/arpegg...

I think the Sport Modulator is similar to the SSG except that it might not go as fast and I think both sections can be switched on the SM
On the Elby boards you can put a switch on to have both sections of the SSG be either smooth or stepped...

Hi,

  • Intellijel quad VCA - the plain jane. Very usable, takes up 12HP which is more than I’d like.

    Thanks for any thoughts.
It's anything but plain jane. You have a completely variable response of all curves, the gain staging is great too, it's a wonderful distortion module.

Is it possible to change the hold-press time for secondary functions? I'd like mine to be much faster so I can programme it more rapidly.

These new features are amazing though. Logic is hugely welcome.

Re: How could design help you with your modular syntesizers ?

Nice thread, I really spend a lot of time thinking about playability and where pots/jacks are located so patching and playing are as stress free and enjoyable as possible. So many great Euro modules suffer from this lack of care, use of pots in locations which are impossible to access once the syste...

Re: Question re: Serge

My system was a heavily modded Animoo and Sequencer panel built to spec by LW. He makes amazing stuff and my V2 is being designed as we speak. You can't go wrong with any of it really. If you are in Europe then RS or LW are no brainers. 2nd hand STS M-class is also a good idea if you are just "dippi...
