Re: Why people hate clicks?

I know its not what you asked but @paoling are you aware of the entire 'clicks & cuts' genre/culture/etc that preceeded Alva Noto & Sakamotos work together by a decade or so? Not just Mille Plateaux label but plenty of others too... "Actually, maybe, they are already a vintage thing that dates back ...

really like the idea of the SQ-64, does anyone have time to check the “tightness” of the clock, especially when acting as a slave and then outputting to other midi devices?

Innerclock have tested lots of devices - not the SQ64 yet but they did do the SQ1

Re: New Wendy Carlos biography

Wendy Carlos and Mike Oldfield both experienced the worst thing that can happen to an artist: instant world-wide fame. No one who hasn't gone through this can understand how traumatic this experience can be to a sensitive person. Well said. I thought 'public' issues for famous people was just par f...

"Big spaces will eat up most sound, except low frequencies, I suppose. "

I dont think so...
All frequencies follow the inverse square law in exterior spaces, including low frequencies

Re: Where to Get Notations 21 Book?

I discovered my local library has a copy of it. I got it out a few years ago and took photos of the pages that interested me... Do you know how to use a library? If so but they don't have a copy, do you know how to do an interloan? Try that route, costs very little... https://www.worldcat.org/title/...

The piracy sites I have had to send DCMA Take Down notices too are all monetised, with ads everywhere plus kickbacks from the sites they use to host the actual files too...

Re: What new booty did you buy?

Managed to buy a 1937 Kemble piano at auction (literally for less than the cost of a single module) Just have to wait a few weeks for it to acclimatise before getting it tuned… http://www.musicofsound.co.nz/blog/wp-content/TPuploads/2020/02/p1_IMG_9871.jpg The wood grain was what caught my eye at fi...

Re: Secrets of your "ready to cook" software templates (DAW-agnostic)

My only tip is that once you have built a template with all of the instruments, FX sends & returns, VCAs, stem routing etc that you want available, dont open that template - just use it as a resource to import from... That way your current wip session doesn't get bloated with things you dont current...

your Q is lacking the most basic info as to whether you have good relative pitch detection?
can you accurately tune a guitar?

i own 3 x rings, never had a problem tuning them
but that isn't dependent on the module
