Re: Best sequential switch?

One feature to consider is momentary versus latching type switching. It's really handy to have both.

Re: Aux send module?

Two words—Matrix mixer. Which matrix mixer is best for this task? a matrix mixer would be the traditional way of doing anything like this, since it can send one signal to many signals, with an attenuator, which is the same as an aux send on a mixer. Any of them will do this, there are Doepfer ones ...

Re: What are you using for mixing oscillators?

I usually use a Happy Nerding MIA. If I need CV control use the cascading channels on a Malekko 6HP VCA, or the cascading channels on an MI Veils.

Re: Kurzweil K2000R basic model worth $100?

Is there some way to globally turn the Effects off while I'm browsing through patches? first go to the effects page (there's a button for it on the front). There you can set the fx mode to "master" (I think it's called master!). Then set the wet/dry on the same page to 0%. That should ignore any ef...

Re: Kurzweil K2000R basic model worth $100?

Darwin Grosse's tutorial is the best one: http://mememiner.com/k2000.html ( one zip file ) For raising the volume, try doing that on the last AMP page only (the right most one in the signal chain) - or goto the master->output page and raise the volume of the output pair you're using. Each block in t...

Re: What Trigger Sequencer are you using?

Trigger Riot is, eh... a riot. Really useful for generating all kinds of patterns. Other than that, clocks with voltage control (e.g. the 4ms QCD) with logic gates and switches will take you a long way. Great way to make all kinds of unpredictable sequences that can repeat (e.g. by sequencing the sw...

I haven't seen it mentioned. Can you describe the problem?

yes you can record full polyphonic parts no problem. Quantized or unquantized recording, move notes around or quantize afterwards.

no wonder mutable isn't designing anymore. sheesh. no wonder people don't want to voice their opinions, sheesh it's one thing if there's an obvious functionality omission that most users would want that the designer overlooked. it's another to ding the design because they don't want to use a simple...

I don't have golden ears by any stretch but as I listened, I didn't think the sound was that great, no high end sizzle like a real Oberheim. I figured it was just the youtube compression.

I was looking over the K2 jacks and it looked 'ok' - but i'm a big fan of the overall signal flow so I was curious if anyone could convince me it plays well with eurorack and/or is enhanced by the combination. Cheers, You'll need to convert from v/oct to hz/v if you want euro sequencers to play nic...

Re: Thomann / the sssnake stackcable clones

My Ssssnake-cables arrived. First impression is good. About the same thickness as TTA Stackcables, but with a slightly more rubbery finish (reminds me very much of bugbrand bananacables if anyone is familiar). The plug/jack-combination is a lot taller than with stackcables, so they're probably not ...

Re: Which old school eurorack modules don't get enough love anymore?

my vote is for the 4ms Quad Clock Distributor and the expander. It might be a little large by recent standards but it does a lot and has a simple interface. Four individual (or cascaded) clocks with mult/divide with CV control over that. Variable pulse width on the clock and CV control over that. Re...
