Re: ES-9 standalone summing?

@Doublecoolbossman Are you routing one mixer into the other? You don't need to do that. Remember that if multiple mixers address the same outputs, the outputs will just be summed. @kedici Yes, that's the 'mix smoothing' in the most recent beta. Whoops. I was doing that! Got it figured out enough to...

Re: ES-9 standalone summing?

I don't think this is possible, but I figured I'd ask in case Im missing something. Trying to get two seperate stereo mixes: - the first stereo mix on outputs 1/2 - the second on outputs 3/4 - I'd like to be able to use all 14 inputs --- I can use all 14 inputs and get a single stereo mix, but it se...

Re: ES-9 and Windows 10 Disconnecting

Thanks Os! I've had audio playing for 47 minutes so far with no problem! Fingers crossed but I think the driver solved it.

Re: ES-9 and Windows 10 Disconnecting

Watching with interest. Mine is working on an 8ish years old Sony Vaio, but won't work on a 2017ish dell xps 13. Both on windows 10. Tried adjusting all the settings previously mentioned on the xps 13 to no avail, haven't had to adjust anything on the vaio.

Re: ES-9 + Windows PC help wanted!

Welp, as an additional data point, my es-9 seems to be working fine (for the past hour at least) with my 8ish year old fairly sluggish Sony Vaio on windows 10 with no adjustments to any settings.

Re: ES-9 + Windows PC help wanted!

The ES-9 is certainly a priority for me - the situation is that I have nothing to offer in terms of getting Windows PCs working properly for audio. I've just never done it. The driver is something I've bought in (as many vendors do) so if there are driver issues (which I'm not saying is the case he...

Re: ES-9 + Windows PC help wanted!

I tried these settings too and audio still just stops after a bit. Only thing that ever temporarily works is restarting my es-9. Really hoping to hear from Os at some point. I guess I need to email him because he's been silent in this thread?

Re: ES-9 + Windows PC help wanted!

Bumping this thread in hopes of any more potential insight into getting this thing working with my pc. Hey! So after all of my troubleshooting I still ran into connection issues. Since nothing I did helped, I changed all of my settings in Bios and windows back to normal. Intel speedstep is on, turb...

Re: ES-9 + Windows PC help wanted!

I'm going back to the es-8+es-6 combo which works flawlessly for whatever reason, which is a bummer because I was planning to use those 4 extra ins.
Yeah, I definitely would've waited to buy one had I known it's not usable with my current setup.

Re: ES-9 + Windows PC help wanted!

Those are all the same issues I have experienced. Have you tried a different usb port on your computer? Have you tried usb A to usb C? Well I know that windows has been automatically assigning the ES-9 as the default windows audio device and this is why it has been disconnecting because it does not...

Re: ES-9 + Windows PC help wanted!

I don't know if this is useful or not but abletons "cpu load meter" also jumps from like 3% up to 40-60% when audio stops (this jump does not correspond to any changes im making, it occurs when I'm only playing audio through an armed track, not sending midi in, not touching anything). Edit: just now...

Re: ES-9 + Windows PC help wanted!

Okay, looks like default sample rate is 4800, I've set ableton to match that. Flipped the usb-c, disabled the es-9 as an audio device. After this, audio cut out in a few minutes. Es-9 is revision v1.11. Driver is 4.86.0. Edit: just reinstalled latest fw on es-9, uninstalled and reinstalled es driver...

Re: ES-9 + Windows PC help wanted!

Yeah I figured that was normal, I thought I was abnormal that audio stops without an error message though. - I have been restarting my pc frequently after making these changes. - I will try rotating the usb c. - The ES control panel displays whatever sample rate i set ableton to ( though no sample r...

Re: ES-9 + Windows PC help wanted!

Yes I have the current expert sleepers driver and have tried different settings within the expert sleepers control panel. Also, turning my rack off and back on reliably gets me sound again.. the only error message that occurs is after I turn the rack off, ableton states "failed to open the audio dev...

Re: ES-9 + Windows PC help wanted!

I'm having a tough go with my ES-9 and live 10 on Windows 10. My audio stops at least about every 30 minutes. I have tried: -ES driver vs asio4all -Turning off USB selective suspend -Unchecked "stop devices when screen is off to help save battery. If you're having trouble with connected devices, cle...

Re: DIY Midi breakout (not kit) for EX

Weird. Everything is working on other devices, but i can't get anything to show up in midi history (or any evidence of it working in the moment). Do I only have to make the 4 connections?

DIY Midi breakout (not kit) for EX

I'd like to try to make din midi in and out tiles for my new EX. Partly because kits are sold out everywhere, and partly because tiles would save a bit of hp. I thought it would be as simple as connecting the pins on the pcb to the pins on din midi jacks according to what is specified in the manual ...
