Re: Introducing the Accord Melisma Chord Module!

Indeed! How come we never thought of this before? forest...trees...forest... It's because the idea was that arps were a different playing style to how a straight chord plays, with an emphasis on smooth transition between the two so that it feels like one player is doing both. And then you introduce...

Re: Introducing the Accord Melisma Chord Module!

I'll check this later, thanks Sandrine! :hail: It will be interesting to see how this works with different MIDI channels for the arp and the chord. It is nice with sep. channels. I'm a GM freak so... Will the arp's chord change when a new chord is triggered as before? :hmm: There's a part of me thi...

Re: Introducing the Accord Melisma Chord Module!

Here it is! The V.1.6 FW update should be called a beta as explained above, but seems stable thus far. http://www.freshnelly.com/melisma/MEL-REL-V16.zip Thanks again to 7on5on8on3 for the great ideas! -edit- This adds a whole new dimension to the Melisma really! I have a progression playing with a q...

Re: Introducing the Accord Melisma Chord Module!

Well appears this is entirely possible! Easier than I thought it would be. - I will add this option to the ARP INSTRUMENT QB: "ARP + CHORD:YES" When Hold is on, the chords can still be played as usual, This works for Progression triggers as well. It's pretty cool actually thanks for the idea! Also d...

Re: Introducing the Accord Melisma Chord Module!

Just had another session with the melisma. Got another idea for an option. Is it possible for a gate in the hold input, to NOT mute the gate functionality. I typically send the gate and arp to different instruments, so keeping the gates playing chords as the arp comes in is a useful feature. Strang...

Re: Beatstep Pro reset via cv?

I think if a transport message is sent (stop) it will reset, maybe you have that filtered in ableton? Just a guess.
The clock in is tip clock, ring play/stop, sleeve common, so a Y adapter TRS to 2 TS would work

Re: Introducing the Accord Melisma Chord Module!

I've got a few feature request for another firmware update. The first was mentioned a while back, I forgot about it, but I just made a track that could have done with it. That is, apply the gate delay to the Lhand. Wow, sorry, there's been so much going on around here I completely forgot about your...

Re: The Sequarallel MIDI2CV Recorder+Sequencer

Disclosure: Haven't read the whole thread, but I have two questions, someone might quickly be able to answer? 1: Is sequarallel able to take a cv input and quantize it to a scale, to not only use it for midi2cv but also "cv2cv" with all the awesome loop/layering so on features? Yes. The CV input ca...

Re: The Sequarallel MIDI2CV Recorder+Sequencer

can you elaborate on this ? Jan 2021: Doubled the 4 Envelope Sizes and added a new waveform creation method "Parameter" to use a form & math to make waves how the waveform creation method works? I meant that the resolution (horizontal) was doubled, so better with higher frequency waveforms. There's...

Re: The Sequarallel MIDI2CV Recorder+Sequencer

So I've been tossing around alternate modes for the Select Bus I/O & here's what I have come up with... As a Slave: :) - Song Project Select 1-62: Load a project. Stops play for 2 seconds - TRAX In-Line Load 1-62: Load trackers only, while playing - Select Bus Custom Remotes: Any parameter (includin...

Re: The Sequarallel MIDI2CV Recorder+Sequencer

Well that's one for the OK list! I'm unsure what else to add to SelBus slave control, I mean so far there's the Song Project selection. Bridging it in as a MIDI input could be easily done. As a master the reverse... Bridging MIDI out into the select bus line is do-able, or just MIDI PC's from the se...

Re: Mungo Enterprises d0, dual channel Delay

Ok, ok, ok, man, fucking yeeesss. I am finally there. I got and built the ES select bus breakout, got the d0 and g0 in a skiff with it and a Disting mk4, made a different zoom switch that latches, so I can do everything single-handedly. And now I send program change via MPC. And. It. All. Fucking. ...

quite probably a USB host for loading MIDI's and powering a USB style controller. Yummie! As I mentioned before, I really wish I could trust the Select bus to do more but I have reservations about it! We need some experimenters out there with different modules & a SB breakout to feed standard MIDI ...

Re: The Sequarallel MIDI2CV Recorder+Sequencer

The Sequarallel's TRAX sequencers are somewhat similar to that. Wow, it's cool that old school has been revived, I guess you can't much improve on the original idea! The big difference is, in one of 40 Trackers available, besides per note param's like length, delay, pitch, velocity, the FX are added...

Re: The Sequarallel MIDI2CV Recorder+Sequencer

Very intriguing module, have reserved a space on my rack and keen to get it when it comes out. If there is a template or something for using a Maschine controller (thinking about possibility of editing TRAX over MIDI input?) that would be great. There's so many parameters that a template would be i...

Re: The Sequarallel MIDI2CV Recorder+Sequencer

BTW in addition to my response at the top of page, I have tried the Select Bus bridge, not sure how to implement it as an option yet, but used the following method to change the Disting MK4 settings. TRAX 1 A has a NoteFX on the first step (lane1) to send a PC on Channel 1. TRAX 1 B has the same, bu...

Re: The Sequarallel MIDI2CV Recorder+Sequencer

at one point you mentioned an extension module Yes it's in the plan to have a smaller extension that plugs onto the right side (sorry lefties!) with more CV I/O, and quite probably a USB host for loading MIDI's and powering a USB style controller. and also you stated that 2 sequarallels could be co...

Re: The Sequarallel MIDI2CV Recorder+Sequencer

As it sits, the Sequarallel as Master only sends the "State Select" when a Song Project is loaded, and "State Save" message when a Project is saved...by default. These are set up by the user in the Select bus menu for each Song project. They are sent on MIDI channel 1. MIDI input from the panel coul...

Re: The Sequarallel MIDI2CV Recorder+Sequencer

My search for a last 8hp select bus enabled module has brought me here. My main question would be this: Can this thing be controlled entirely via the select bus MIDI, so you don´t have to plug in a MIDI cable into the Sequarallel at all? Should be possible, right? On the other hand, I just realize,...

Re: The Sequarallel MIDI2CV Recorder+Sequencer

Update: I'm getting pretty excited about releasing the Sequarallel these days. The Remote control has changed toward a selec...

Re: Custom MIDI controllers, who makes em?

It's super easy to make a MIDI controller with some basic knowledge of electronics really. With all the pre-written code / librariesnow you don't even need to know how to do that. I need to make one for my XR-18 mixer as I'm getting tired of opening the app to adjust a fader ;)
