Re: self triggering ADSR?

If you set your sustain to 0 you can use the Attack/Decay to get the shape you are looking for. Use the decay for this, not the release. Then I think the VCA idea mentioned earlier would work, with the inverted envelope to the CV and a constant voltage to the IN would retrigger the envelope when the...

Re: DIY 1/4 inch patch cables

A tip I found useful was to put an empty jack in my vise. This makes a nice holder for the unsoldered plug (way better than trying to hold the round plug in the vise). Great idea for a thread, I am going to watch here for tips as my limited experience building cables I found it much more difficult t...

Re: I hate Facebook. Forums vs Social Media

FWIW, some random thoughts on this: Many people talk about leaving Facebook (or other social media sites) and that is a choice anyone could make, but it is not always so easy. Many community groups use FB as a way to organize and share, and to be a full part of those communities can push toward join...

Canadian (Quebecer) here. I like the idea of trading too. But as mentioned earlier in this post, it is something easiest done locally, or at least in the same country.

Re: MOTM / Modcan Cabinet Options

There are cabinet mounting rails for MOTM available at Synthcube that might be helpful as well https://synthcube.com/cart/motm-6-modul ... rails-pair

For the power, I imagine you could use the terminals on the 960 panels to connect the .com power to MOTM headers.

Re: Post pics of your 5U format setup!

^I love MOTM, but those power panels take up WAY too much space... since you use 19" rack cases, you might want to consider getting rack rails for the rear side for that power supply giving you six more module spaces between the two cases combined. When I had my setup via 19" racks that's what I di...

Re: Spare modules laying around

Very interesting thread! I have about 8 modules wrapped and put away, because of lack of space. My new case has been sitting in the US since March while I, in Canada, cannot cross the border to get it! But I think this will be my last case, so once it is full it will be time to start picking and cho...

I always see Hordijk modules in groups of 3, but somehow you have gotten them as separate modules!? Yes, I have known Rob for many years and I got these from him when he was first getting into the business of building modules, before he had settled on his system format and business model. His stuff...

Re: 19" rack panel for power supply switch/fuse/IEC

Wow thanks Pugix! That is a very helpful blog post.

I am pretty intimidated by drilling out the rectangular switch space.

I think I will strip the components from my MOTM-900s and order a custom 3U panel from Penn to mount them. I’ll post the design here when I finish it.
