We may need a second "turkey" variety for folks with cultural, religious or dietary restrictions.

Takes a bit of configuration to get it going, and manual reading, but for free it's a pretty useful bit of kit.
Thanks for that. Looks very useful.

Cyndustries might be included even though they are long gone - if only for historical completeness

Re: Multiple synced video sources

Sorry about my terminology. By Syncing I was referring to genlock. (I actually knew that was the incorrect term, but had a brain fart!) However, it would still be nice to be able to sync the video transports! :-) Thanks for your RECUR pointer. Not what I'm looking for ATM but helpful down the road. ...

Multiple synced video sources

Hi, I'm just starting to dabble in video synth and wondering if there is something like a SD card video playback source that can be synced? I'd like to be able to switch / mix various several prerecorded sources using something like a MP3 or video tape transport - being able to start, stop pause, sl...

Re: 40106 new pitch every new envelope. possible?

You could also try a 4046 as the VCO. I'm not sure, but the CV input impedance MIGHT be high enough to allow you to eliminate the buffer opamps from the S&H. Worth a shot.

can I replace the mpc6002 with other IC? (i d'not have this part)
what is that U2 ?
You could try an LM324.

Sorry. That U2 is just another gate from your 4066. I didn't bother to try to match your IC numbers

Re: 40106 new pitch every new envelope. possible?

you could perhaps make a simple shift register based random number generator, and then add an R2R ladder to various outputs to give you a random voltage output. then have it so that when the VCO part is triggered it stops the clock on the shift registers holding the note stable, and then resume whe...

Re: 40106 new pitch every new envelope. possible?

+1 on the VCO. You could use something like this: https://electro-music.com/forum/topic-28799.html Generate a random control voltage using a sample & hold and feed that to your VCO. Here's a quick concept I drew up as my "Today's challenge". Completely untested. Guessing component values. Feel free ...

What did you break Doug? Be honest here!!! As far as I know, just the "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" patch Bob was working on. After messing with the modular for a few minutes, I couldn't figure out how to get sound out of it again! Should I start a thread somewhere to tell more about this? It's a littl...

Re: Fears of a Noob

I assume with DotCom, every output can be sent to every input and nothing will overload/break... Good assumption. DotCom modules are very well designed/engineered and patching within the system is a worry free affair. There are some great stories of Bob Moog allowing novices to spend time patching ...

Re: SSL - Name The Module - Burst (Nurse Ratchet it is!)

Quantity is a stepped encoder with a push button. Ping sets the "base" tempo (like tap tempo), and Trigger starts the burst / ratchet at that tempo (or multiple or division depending on the position of the Time knob + Time CV) Check out the Befaco Burst manual here (I'll do my own at some point, but...

I’d recommend an ornament and crimes for your set up (2 channel sequencer, or 4 envelopes, or 4 LFO’s, much more). Only 1 unit wide. Btw, what are you using for multiples?
Oh yeah... Multiples!!! Hmmm. "Another MU bites the dust!"

What about a single Woven Spirits oscillator. It's got a very wide range of timbres and can simulate two oscillators in several of the settings.

Re: Help Vco

I'd agree with kindredlost on most points here. Do you NEED a 16 step sequencer? (And yes, I make the MiniSequencer). Maybe try a 1 MU HexInvertaer 8 stage Symple Seq? Great value. I've got two of them I use all the time. I see 2 envelope generators, but I also don't see any VCAs. Maybe look at the ...

Re: SSL - Tube VCA / Timbral Gate

Thanks - and great point about inrush current. These tubes are VERY low current filaments @ 1.2V. Inrush on the -12V side is limited by a 750 ohm resistor, so the MOST current (assuming a short circuit) is 12 / 750 = 0.016A (16 ma). I doubt there will be any problems. :guinness: Awesome! Thanks for...

Re: SSL - Tube VCA / Timbral Gate

Well first, let me say that this looks amazing. But I'll be that guy for the sake of the forum. You list the power specs as "Current draw: +12V @ 24 ma. and -12V @ 32 ma." But what about the inrush current? Case in point: I wanted to get the ADDAC Gotharman Tube VCF but my TipTop Mantis c...
