Re: Piston Honda MKIII dual morphing wavetable oscillator

Hi, Just receive my Piston Honda Mk3 from Thomann and the PIN 1 on the back of the module are totally bend. Do i need to sent it back ? is it ok to install the module in my rack and use like it ? Can i fix it carefully with my fingers ? What is this PIN 1 ? Sorry im totally new to modular and im ve...

Re: double andore

tangentially related (?): i recently tried to update my malgo mk2 and was running into a lot of the same issues not getting the adapter to work with the old 10 pin connector, but then sorta stumbled on the fact that (i think) i needed to be powered from the programmer, which is what (it seems like)...

Re: stillson mk3

I guess it is the four AUX outputs below the known CV and gate outputs. That is pretty handy to have, epecially with the voltage controllable presets of the other MK3 modules.

Yeah, Industrial Music Elctronics are like Ogres. There is always one more layer beyond the known. Oh, and they both make you cry. :zombie:

Are you sure that you are in preset EDIT mode, when you are changing a preset and want it to keep the change?

Re: J.Haible's Living VCO for Eurorack [Build Thread]

When I build several of the same circuit in paralel, like for the LVCO's it is usually a wrong resistor I put in the same spot on all boards. Or several of them like grabbing a hand full of 100 R instead of 100 K. So I would start with R4, R58 and R60.

Re: Kermit mk III - coming soon

This is more about the envelope waveforms I think or how the software trys to smooth the edges out. When you load them into waveedit you can see that they are phase shifted a bit and go up again at the nd or do not start at zero. I guess the typical envelope shape is not what a typical single cycle ...

Re: Piston Honda MKIII dual morphing wavetable oscillator

I had no issues with my cheap clone on the MKIII modules. It did not work with older modules though. Luckily I found a used original on ebay, which worked with MKI modules then.

It's the same. For the Piston Honda you use it to program the EEPROM and for the old modules it's an adpater for the PICkit.

As part of my Cirklon tutorial series I have made a new video which gives a brief introduction to the aux events: https://youtu.be/iMuHfupkUfk Nice, I had hoped for something a little more elaborated though. Hopefully there will be a few minutes of spare time on the weekend to watch through this. B...

Re: Verbos dual Four Pole Filter

I have owned a Dual Four Pole years ago and had the very same experience. When contacting Verbos about it they replied that this is expected behaviour. Keep in mind that Don Buchla ditched the design behind this and Mark Verbos said something about about it like 'crap but musically useful'.

Re: EFG build issues

Thanks Tony! Though I am confused now - the building guide says R2 should be 100K but R23 and R5 should be 2K. That's a typo in your post above, right? The values on teh board are as listed in the guide. The Diodes are alright. When I feed in a triangle wave and set the input gain so that the output...

Re: EFG build issues

I had put this on the shelf for some time but now finally got back to it and got it to work. It seemed that some of the 100nF caps actually weren't 100 nF, which I cannot understand how this could have happened. I might have sorted them in the worng box when I got them. Stupid. Also the soldering on...

So after trying out different MPLAB iterations and PSU's Argos finally accepted the firmware and boots up again. Also I can now play in C. Phew! That was quite an endeavour. Who knows what eventually got it back to life but I am happy that it is back with me now. :nana: Back to topic - this is how ...

Malekko offers a four channel mixer for this purpose. From their module description: This 3hp 4-channel mixer is the first to literally fill the odd hp gap – Harvestman users rejoice! MIX 4 also features DC coupling for mixing low frequency as well as CV. Of course nearly any other IME module fills ...

Nope. There is no indication except from the dispaly showing the actual value of the current active slider. When you move a slider it immediately jumps to the value fitting to its new position. Regardless of the old value and if the slider position has chnaged on another page or not. The Stillson Ha...

Re: STILLSON HAMMER mk II FIRMWARE ver 2.26 released

I'm on the latest firmware and just starting to play around with it (I was on .666 previously). Is it normal to be on the CV page, input some notes on the slider, and not see the active sliders light up? I also do not see the active sliders light up when I press the encoder on the CV page. When on ...
