Re: Return to 289

And the plot thickens... :hmm: So is there going to be differentiation between the 289e and the 290e in terms of programs? Have been thinking this whole time that the 290e might be my replacement for the 289, but perhaps not...

No eeprom hardware handy on my end currently unfortunately.

Re: Return to 289

289 has been a staple in my system since day one (day zero as I actually had it before my case even showed up), and is still used in every patch. I have to admit that I often go in and out of favor with it, certainly a challenging/quirky one. A lot times the levels and sweet spots just aren’t quite ...

Re: 292e Velocities

You can think of the velocity inputs as “pre knob” versus “parallel” for the normal cv inputs. With the cv inputs, the knob sets the floor of the cv level and the input basically sums with it which means you don’t really have any control of what’s going into it. With the velocity inputs, the knob ba...

Re: 256e questions

Pondered similar questions regarding the 256e recently but ended up going with the 254e. Felt the transfer functions wouldn’t really be of much utility to me in the long run and that mixing is ultimately so much more useful in my daily patching. Not sure I’d say it’s any harder to get, but it is ind...

Also kind of want a 2FW MonoComp to go along with a single PEQ in 5FW..
As in...? :cloud: :hmm:

Great to have the “technical” section with everything documented so well. A benchmark for others companies to take note of

Great sounds, entertaining dialogue in the second part. I fear she may be a little fastidious in nature. Pics of you with her in bed or it it didn't happen, for all I know this could have taken place on the kitchen counter, better yet the pantry. Thanks for sharing. This is basically what it’s like...

Re: Morton Subotnick Buchla Interview

Would have loved to have been there myself 8-) The 225e + 292e seems like a highly under appreciated pairing for a mini system. The gates with all the clock dividers provide more than enough pinging options and all the cv buses can easily outpace a 281e with the right midi sources. Reminds me how I ...

This is the picture from the Show... [thanks ritchiedrums!!] Looks like 3 261es and 225e, but considering what he said on the podcast, I thought he would be using a 230e. He certainly did make heavy use of a microphone to control sound as mentioned. Looks like that’s a 259e plus two 261e plus the 2...

I thought he had a demo of one of these on youtube, but couldn't find anything specific, although there seem to be one or two used in this video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LSotYOvyI4 There are se...

Re: Sputnik 289 algorithms?

I believe Alex from Keen did the dsp for the 289. Maybe try and get in touch with him (traffkin) although it may be tough to really work out what each one is unless you go one by one with someone who knows them all.

Anyone have the details on the bad boiz in the top of these racks? Noticed them in that rack auction on matrixsynth today and realized I don’t recall hearing about those before. https://www.matrixsynth.com/2020/07/original-1969-ra-moog-modular-cabinets.html?m=1 Random google pic that shows some more...
